I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Counseling Health Psychology and 19 years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life stressors. I blend evidence-based approaches—including CBT, EMDR, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care—to meet your unique needs. My goal is to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and empowered. Whether you’re working through past wounds or present-day challenges, I’m here to help you build resilience, deepen emotional insight, and make lasting, meaningful changes in your life.
In our first session, we’ll focus on creating a comfortable, supportive connection where you feel safe to speak openly and be yourself. I’ll take time to understand what’s bringing you to therapy—your current challenges, goals, and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. We’ll also explore aspects of your personal history to give context to your experiences and help shape our direction. I’ll explain how therapy works, introduce approaches that may be most helpful for you, and answer any questions you have. Together, we’ll begin building a collaborative plan to support your healing, resilience, and lasting positive change.
One of my greatest strengths as a counselor is creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard, understood, and supported. I bring a calm, grounded presence and 19 years of experience helping individuals work through a wide range of emotional challenges. Clients often tell me they feel at ease opening up in our sessions, which allows us to build meaningful trust and create space for healing and growth.
If you’re carrying the weight of past trauma, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, stuck in patterns of negative thinking, or simply exhausted by life’s demands—you’re not alone. There is a way forward. I specialize in working with individuals who are ready to begin healing, even if they don’t know where to start. Together, we’ll create a safe, compassionate space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to walk alongside you as you take meaningful steps toward emotional clarity, resilience, and the fulfilling life you deserve.
I have extensive experience using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a powerful tool to help clients process trauma, anxiety, and deeply rooted emotional distress. In my practice, EMDR allows clients to access and work through painful memories in a way that reduces emotional intensity and promotes healing at a core level. I guide clients through each phase of the EMDR process—from preparation and identifying target memories to using bilateral stimulation for reprocessing—all at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and manageable. Whether clients are addressing a single traumatic event or working through more complex, long-term patterns, EMDR has consistently supported greater emotional clarity, symptom reduction, and a renewed sense of empowerment and resilience.
With years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I’ve seen firsthand how effective it can be in helping clients break free from unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and emotional distress. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients make meaningful connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work on developing more balanced thinking, strengthening coping strategies, and challenging the negative beliefs that often keep people feeling stuck. Whether we’re addressing self-esteem, emotional regulation, or stress management, CBT offers a structured, evidence-based framework that empowers clients to actively participate in their healing and create lasting, meaningful change.
I have extensive experience incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my work with clients navigating intense emotions, relationship challenges, anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms. DBT offers practical, skills-based tools that support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. In my practice, I use DBT both as a structured framework and in an integrative way, tailoring the skills to each client’s unique needs and goals. Whether we’re working through conflict, managing emotional reactivity, or building greater self-awareness, DBT equips clients with real-time strategies to feel more balanced, empowered, and connected—to themselves and to others.
In my experience, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a highly effective approach for helping children, adolescents, and adults process and heal from painful or traumatic experiences. I use TF-CBT to guide clients through a structured, evidence-based process that combines cognitive-behavioral strategies with trauma-sensitive interventions. This includes psychoeducation, relaxation skills, emotional regulation, and the gradual processing of traumatic memories—all within a safe and supportive environment. I tailor the approach to each client’s developmental level and emotional readiness, helping them build resilience, shift unhelpful beliefs, and reclaim a sense of safety and empowerment. TF-CBT has been an essential part of my work with clients facing PTSD, grief, abuse, and other trauma-related concerns.
I regularly incorporate mindfulness-based therapy into my practice as a powerful tool to help clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional dysregulation. Over the years, I’ve seen how mindfulness can foster greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and the ability to respond—rather than react—to life’s challenges. I integrate techniques such as breathwork, grounding exercises, body scans, and present-moment awareness into sessions to help clients reconnect with themselves and create space between their thoughts and emotions. Whether used on its own or alongside CBT, DBT, or EMDR, mindfulness offers a calm, centered foundation that supports healing, insight, and lasting change.
