New to Grow
I take a logical and common sense approach to life and its various challenges. We all experience struggles along the way and I'm dedicated to providing exceptional person-centered care to my clients. It's my aim to help enable you to live your best life while assisting you in maintaining your focus on what's important to you such as your goals and aspirations.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session together, I'll typically ask you to educate me about you and your experiences and what brings you to therapy. It's up to you to share as little or as much as you are comfortable with. I'll share a little about myself and answer any questions or hesitations you may have about committing to therapy.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I'm good at forming supportive relationships which is the basis for therapy. I find the most important thing in my sessions is my client, who they are, what they need, and what they want from their sessions. My goal is to provide the support you need.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My clients come with a myriad of concerns. Some present with specific issues such as ADHD, anxiety, or trauma, while others identify with struggling with life transitions and relationship complexities. Past traumatic events influence the daily life of many of my clients. Whatever your concerns, your are sure to find a supportive non-judgmental safe place to process them and get the support you need and deserve.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I provide information about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and explain how and why utilizing coping skills can help reduce unwanted symptoms of anxiety and depression.
EMDR
When clinically indicated, using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) can reduce symptoms associated with life's traumatic events. It's always awe inspiring to see the results my clients experience after processing traumatic memories.
Strength-Based
I believe everyone has strengths within. Assisting my clients in identifying those strengths can help them generalize their strengths to the areas needed.
