Hi there, I am Elizabeth Cohane, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience helping children, teens, and adults. I specialize in trauma-informed care and am passionate about helping my clients break through the barriers that keep them feeling stuck, while empowering them to make the changes that will allow them to experience more freedom from the thoughts and feelings that can hold us back at times.
Our first session will include me learning about what brought you to therapy and learning more about your childhood, as I firmly believe childhood is where things begin. From there, and with more knowledge about who you are and what is currently taking place, we will develop action steps to reduce the stress and anxiety of handling daily life tasks while managing current situations and emotions. Our work together will be about finding a sense of calm while moving through the feelings / circumstances that brought you to therapy. Before our first session, I offer a free 15-minute consultation, for you to decide if you feel comfortable working together, ask me any questions, and determine if I can be of benefit to you.
