New to Grow
Being a Licensed Professional Counselor is a passion of mine as well as a career. I am committed to creating a genuine, authentic therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. With experience across a wide range of clinical settings and diverse populations, I’ve learned that a strong therapeutic alliance is one of the most powerful tools for meaningful change. Drawing from a variety of evidence-based treatments, I tailor each treatment plan to the unique needs and goals of every client. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when we are able to show up as our true selves.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will begin with general information such as policies, confidentiality, consents, etc and answering any questions the client may have. First sessions are used to gather general information about the client and presenting concerns. I want to get a holistic idea of concerns and strengths to learn the clients goals and to begin formulating best treatment methods to use to begin successful treatment.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have a few years experience of working in a residential trauma unit setting, which has gifted me great patience, as well as, compassion for the importance of individualizing each clients treatment plans, since every client is unique. I have been trained by the Beck Institute in Philadelphia in Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) that emphasizes focusing on the strengths of each individual to help with creating successful treatment, or simply put, creating your best self based on your strengths to address your concerns.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have worked with individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, anger, ADHD, ODD, interpersonal issues, family conflict, and major life transitions ranging from 4 to 65 years old. Coming to therapy can be tough- just showing up is enough for us to begin working together. Never been to therapy and are nervous to begin? Don’t know your goals just yet? Don’t have anything to talk about today? That’s okay! That’s where I come in, so no pressure on you.
