"Life can be stressful, overwhelming and confusing at times. It's as if you have this weight that is on your shoulders that does not seem to get any lighter. Therapy is a great way to unpack the load that you are carrying and help make life more manageable. Whether it's conflict with your children, spouse, co-workers or friends, or financial difficulties, or even the pressure you put on yourself, all of these concerns and more I address with my clients in therapy. My approach to therapy is to provide a safe place where you can be yourself and talk about issues and topics that matter to you. It is a value based and strength based approach meaning, each of us have values that we live by and have built in strength and resiliency. Therapy is a tool that can highlight those values and build upon those strengths. I am a licensed psychologist who has experience working with children, adolescents and adults to help them achieve their personal goals. I look forward to assisting you with developing insight into your own life about recurring patterns, thoughts or behaviors and help you learn more adaptive ways of approaching life so you can master it!"

Hello, I am Dr. Young. Life is full of colors. Light or dark, each has its unique quality. The secret to becoming successful in playing the game of life is to change from the inside out. We live to move forward, and it requires us to be more and do more. Resilience is an innate human capacity. In my view, everyone is capable of self-healing given the proper guidance and provided with supportive conditions. With a cultivated healthy sense of self, solutions appear with the clarity to think about what you desire in life, not what you cannot or don't have. In tough water, even good swimmers might struggle. If you have dreams and hopes, I can help you to pick up new skills going through the waves of life. Let's work together!

Empowerment, Collaboration, Connection, & Healing It can be really hard to find a therapist who has similar identities and lived experiences. As a biracial/bicultural mother, psychologist, and associate professor, I recognize the importance of a therapist who gets it. My goal is to support you and honor your experience by listening to what you need from a healing space. I am gender-affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming, and recognize the significance of race and culture. My therapeutic approach is best characterized by warmth, responsiveness, empowerment, and authenticity. I have extensive clinical experience and training working with individuals struggling with identity, relational problems, family of origin issues, trauma, self-esteem, depression, anxiety and stress management. I meet you where you are with a range of psychological approaches and tools to help you increase awareness, identify relational patterns, build coping strategies, and feel empowered to live authentically. Outside of my practice, I teach graduate counseling courses, provide supervision, and publish on biracial identity, anti-oppressive training of mental health providers, and racism-based trauma.

Hi, I'm Ashley! I help women tap into their resilience, restore hope, and transform their lives with authenticity, compassion, and a passion for seeing women thrive. I like to consider myself THE therapist for women. My mission is to help individuals navigate life’s difficulties to become the best possible versions of themselves. Both my clinical and personal experiences have taught me that, though we cannot control everything, we can control our behaviors, perspectives, beliefs, actions, and HEALING. I plan to equip you with the tools needed to promote your overall well-being and facilitate lasting positive change. I hold EMDR and talk therapy sessions with clients who struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and difficulty navigating challenges and transitions. However, I specialize in perinatal mental health, infertility, and EMDR. In addition, I run a support group for women struggling with infertility. Through additional training and certifications, I have and continue to develop a variety of tools to support you, and I may use different techniques during our work together. Accordingly, my approach is best described as client-centered and strengths-based, drawing also on theories and strategies of cognitive-behavioral therapy. When I am not practicing as a therapist, I am spending time with my family. We love to stuff our faces with tasty food and find new adventures. I also dabble in wedding photography as a creative outlet. But generally, you will find me advocating for women struggling with infertility and all the experiences it brings. I can't wait to work with you!

Sometimes the people in our lives just don’t get it. I have worked with those managing anxiety, depression, and family and relationship challenges. I also have special experience working with older adults, artists and creatives, career challenges and burnout, and people living with HIV or other health conditions. Our lives don't often offer the non-judgmental space to work through trauma, heartache, and overwhelming stress. Talking with a therapist is different from talking with a friend or family member because you are free of obligations and responsibility. It is all about you, and I will ask helpful questions, point out connections and patterns, and simply give you space to put yourself first and talk through your experiences. If you have been to therapy before, it may help to know I have the experience and training to work with those who have received a mild, moderate, or severe mental health diagnosis, but know that it is only one piece of the puzzle. Knowledge is power. I believe in psychoeduction - teaching you as much as you like about psychology and how our brains operate.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and where ever you are in your life right now, I believe there is always time to reflect on and improve your overall well-being if needed. When do you set aside time for yourself? Let's talk about that. How often do you hesitate or ruminate over a mistake you made yesterday, or even last year? It's common to get stuck on our paths and focus on mistakes - talk to me and we can begin drawing a map for better understanding your emotions, thoughts and how they dictate your everyday. What is keeping you from living the type of life that you want for yourself and how do those obstacles dictate your everyday choices? These are only one of the questions I can help you answer for yourself in our sessions that focus on managing intrusive thoughts, building better relationships and accepting your whole being as worthy of love. I work with cerebrally inclined adults and teens, giving attention to their needs when “being in my head,” and perfectionism distracts from attainable goals. With my experience in using evidence-based practices and building a comfortable space for you, my philosophical background will guide you through anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts and existential dread. We will use mindfulness exercises, meditation and structured cognitive-behavioral prompts as well. Think of our time together as a study group with your holistic well being as the main subject and the quiz as your everyday life. Ultimately, I offer the chance for us to go on that journey of self-discovery as a team - we can find the answers that you are looking for. Let’s do it!

Greetings and welcome. My name is Elizabeth Brillon and I am an expert in managing anxieties and trauma. Life doesn't seem to work out the way we expect it to, does it? Do you ever feel like sometimes it is just too much to handle? When you pause to take a moment to think, are you pondering why your connections with others aren't allowing you to gain the elements you need to be at peace? This disharmony can be difficult to balance without support. I form partnerships with individuals to identify manifestations of trauma and develop appropriate tools for symptom management. Oftentimes, trauma also goes hand-in-hand with anxiety and depression. Whatever the case may be, I help motivated learners move forward on their holistic wellness journey through the incorporation of customized tools rooted in evidence-supported interventions. It can feel lonely when you feel overwhelmed by those things in life that you cannot control. You are deserving of peace, safety, and healing in the therapeutic setting. You can look no further if you reach out to me. To properly care for our individual selves, we must nurture both our physical and mental health. Have you been wondering if your current challenges are due to past traumatic life events? Do you struggle in relationships? If so, I may be the Therapist for you. I specialize in trauma therapy for teenagers and adults. Many people often think trauma is only caused by violent crimes, acts of physical abuse, or natural disasters. They may also think because trauma happened a long time ago, it does not affect them in the present. These are a few of the myths about trauma. There are many types of traumas such as the sudden or unexpected death of a loved one, bullying, retaliation in the workplace, neglect from parents, infidelity, intimate partner violence, the witnessing of domestic violence and more. If you or your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, or life stressors, therapy with me can help with positive changes to strengthen self-esteem and confidence. I am trained in EMDR and other trauma therapy approaches. My years of professional experience as a teacher and counselor, along with my lived experiences as a Black person allow me to provide empathetic regard while helping clients from multicultural backgrounds.
