Hi there! I am a big sports fan who loves spending time with family, sharing laughter, and enjoying great food. Music and outdoor activities are two of my favorite things. I’m always eager to learn something new and love starting my days early. Helping others reach their full potential and witnessing those ah-ha moments truly inspires me. You’ll often catch me embarrassing my family with my corny dad jokes or dance moves. I’ve worked in a variety of therapeutic settings as a school counselor, acute therapist, and suicide prevention therapist. My lifelong motto is, "do your best so you can give your best."

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session I like to get to know my clients and what things are salient to them. We will explore your goals and the importance of being kind to your best friend which is you. We will discuss what success from a therapeutic perspective means to you, and how you measure it.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my approach unique is I am a person who understands how unpredictable life can be. What that means is, I understand we have peaks and valleys which can change day to day and sometimes throughout the day. I encourage my clients to be kind to themselves and to understand that as long as they have breath in their bodies they have the ability to invoke the change they want to see. I go on the journey with my clients to understand who they are versus their ideal self and work with you to be your best self.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My dream client is anyone who is looking to become their best self, perfect people are not welcome. None of us are exempt from life's curve balls and setbacks. If you have issues, struggle or just need a nonjudgmental listening ear, look no further. I am here to partner with you to break through the trauma, hurt, and mental blockages. I have experience working with anger issues, depression, anxiety, ADHD, couples, crisis, grief, self-harm, racism, self-esteem issues, men's issues, peer relationships, suicidal ideations, trauma and PTSD.

I met with Morris for the first time and immediately felt comfortable opening up to him. He was empowering, compassionate, and gave me practical insight that really helped after just one therapy session. I left feeling heard, supported, and more hopeful about moving forward. I’m grateful for the positive experience and look forward to continuing to work with him.

My first meeting with Morris went perfectly. He was open, welcoming, cared more about me than his checklist of questions. We did get through a good portion of the questions but I felt like he was more invested in understanding me as a person than anything else. He listened to understand rather than to just respond. I really felt happy after our session ended.

GOATED. Morris is empowering, open minded, and authentic. Having the ability to speak with a vision and a purpose. For someone who was hesitant to go and seek therapy, Morris was a blessing! God Bless the brother!
