As a licensed professional counselor, I believe that healing begins with a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, and self-worth challenges. I work with adults from all walks of life and offer a compassionate, culturally sensitive approach that honors your unique story. My clinical style is collaborative, grounded in empathy and trust. I use evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques to help you identify unhelpful patterns, build emotional resilience, and move toward lasting growth and wellness. Whether you're struggling with panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, grief, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to support your journey toward clarity and healing. I also bring a strong spiritual awareness into sessions if that’s important to you. Many of my clients appreciate integrating their faith and values into therapy, and I’m honored to support that part of your life as well. Together, we’ll create a path that supports your goals, your pace, and your voice. You're not alone—and your healing matters.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is all about connection, comfort, and understanding. I know that starting therapy can feel overwhelming or even intimidating, so I work hard to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can simply be yourself. During our first meeting, I’ll spend time getting to know you—who you are, what brought you to therapy, and what you'd like to work on. We’ll talk about your current concerns, your history, and any goals you may have. You’re free to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. This session is also your chance to ask me questions and make sure you feel safe and supported in working together. My goal is to listen with empathy, help you feel seen and heard, and begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and collaboration. We’ll also explore what you’d like to gain from therapy and how I can best support you on that journey. By the end of the session, we’ll talk about next steps and how often you’d like to meet. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what our work together can look like—and a reminder that you're not alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my therapeutic approach apart is the balance I offer between compassion and clinical skill. I meet my clients with genuine warmth, empathy, and cultural sensitivity—while also using evidence-based techniques that are effective and results-driven. I tailor therapy to each client’s needs, using tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you manage anxiety, intrusive thoughts, grief, trauma, and life transitions. I also welcome spiritual and faith-based exploration for clients who value that connection in their healing process. Clients often tell me they feel heard, respected, and safe in our sessions. Many begin to notice improvements in their emotional awareness, thought patterns, and self-confidence within just a few sessions. My approach is not one-size-fits-all—I take time to understand your story and collaborate with you on what healing looks like for you. What truly stands out is the trust we build together and the steady, practical progress we make toward your goals. I aim to help you not just cope—but grow.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

This holistic approach fosters long-term well-being and helps you build resilience against future challenges. It also allows for more personalized treatment plans. I invite you to be vulnerable which can be a significant part of healing for you. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a structured, evidence-based approach to help my clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and unhelpful behaviors. In session, I guide clients to recognize the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and together we explore how changing one can impact the others. I help clients examine intrusive or irrational thoughts by asking questions that test the evidence behind them. For example, I might ask, “What’s the evidence that supports this thought? What’s the evidence against it?” This allows clients to reframe unhelpful thinking into more balanced and realistic perspectives. I also support clients in developing practical coping strategies—like journaling, thought logs, relaxation techniques, or behavioral activation—to manage anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, or panic symptoms. CBT allows me to work collaboratively with my clients by setting clear, measurable goals, assigning homework between sessions, and tracking progress over time. I use it as a tool not only for symptom relief but also to build lasting skills that clients can apply independently in their daily lives.
