Hi, I’m Jenny! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. I’ve had the privilege of working with people of all ages, but I especially enjoy helping adults navigate the ups and downs of life. My background includes working in community agencies, private practice, and with military families, which has given me a wide range of experience with challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, and self-esteem struggles. As a military spouse myself, I understand firsthand how stressful transitions, deployments, and constant changes can feel. I bring that personal perspective into my work, along with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

I completed training in 2003 at the Joint Master of Social Work program at North Carolina A & T State University and the University of NC at Greensboro. I was also part of the NC Child Welfare Collaborative, which provided specific training in NC DSS and child welfare. I began my career practicing as a child protective services social worker. I worked as a front-line worker and as a supervisor with children and families related to abuse and neglect. I have experience working in hospital and community settings. I currently work in private practice with children, adults, and geriatrics. I have experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused treatment, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I have worked with high conflict custody cases, and family reunification, and provided expert testimony in court proceedings. I am someone who spent many years in the business world before finding recovery and figuring out counseling is what I'm supposed to be doing. I believe I don't have the answers for you, you do! I believe it's my job to help you get to the answers. I try real hard not to tell people what to do but will share what my experience has been. I use humor when I can as none of us are getting out here alive so we might as well laugh as to cry.

I am an independently licensed psychotherapist who works with adults who suffer from Anxiety and Depression and or other behavioral disturbances. My experience includes working in psychiatric hospitals conducting group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy and discharge planning. I have also worked in the world of clinical trials with therapeutic indications of Infectious Disease, Pain Management, Substance Abuse and Cardiovascular Diseases. In 2020, I started my own private practice to address mental health issues within her community for those who suffer with Anxiety, Depression and other behavior health disturbances.

I am Kathy M. Shelton-Riek, LCSW, MSW, Ed.S. in NC. I love collaborating with clients to grow and heal. I also enjoy working with clients via Telehealth from the convenience of home and a schedule that fits the needs of a working person. I specialize in helping adults and and geriatrics to understand their mental health conditions as well as moods, thoughts and behaviors.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am also a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist( in NC). I have 24 years’ experience working with children and adults Including those with various mental health and addiction issues. Keith received his Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University in May 1994 and a his Masters of Social Work from California State University in December 2010. I have been trained with Triple P Level 3, Together Facing the Challenge provider and trainer, Motivational Interviewing, and is certificated in providing assessment and therapy for youth for problem sexual behaviors.
