Hi there! I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor with over seven years of experience in the field. I graduated from Liberty University with a master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. I provide a holistic approach to mental health, emphasizing the importance of getting to know you as a whole and the multiple aspects of your current life, past, and hopes for the future. I provide support for individuals, couples, and families. My focus areas include but are not limited to relationship challenges, unhealthy family dynamics, depression, grief and loss, anxiety, stress, difficulty adjusting to changing circumstances, and other mental health concerns.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions, and you will be offered the space to express your concerns and the specific challenges you face. We will then work together to outline your goals and create a treatment plan specific to your needs to work through in follow-up sessions. I view counseling as a collaborative effort in which my role as a therapist is to build a rapport with you and assist you in achieving personal growth in a safe and supportive environment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With seven years of professional experience, I have developed the skills and techniques to help you explore the root of your concerns and develop a plan to move you toward your goals with measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with those eager to better understand themselves and desire to be challenged and grow, whereas I provide tools to support you in this effort.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I heavily draw on cognitive-behavioral techniques to assist you in processing your experiences and resolving core conflict at the root of symptoms. I will assist you in identifying patterns of thinking developed over time that have contributed to negative feelings and behaviors while emphasizing actions that support a pathway toward change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I will support you as you learn to accept uncomfortable realities and tolerate unpleasant emotions while focusing on behavioral changes that align with personal values and goals.

Attachment-based

I will help you deepen your understanding of the effects of experiences in the early lifecycle on attachment style and reorganize responses for secure interactions and an internal sense of self-worth.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I will guide you in practicing mindfulness, exploring your feelings and emotions free of judgment, and grounding yourself in the present moment. Mindfulness practices support calming and coping abilities to manage symptoms effectively.

Integrative

I do not believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach to counseling. Instead, I use an integrative method, employing various counseling theories and techniques to customize a treatment plan to meet your unique needs.
