New to Grow
Hello, my name is Dr. Christopher Rocchio, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who partners with individuals to navigate change. It is an honor and a privilege to do this work. I specialize in helping others navigate life transitions, with a focus on anxiety, depression, men’s health concerns, relationships, and substance use. My approach to therapy is collaborative and values‑based, helping you clarify what matters most. I use evidence-based interventions to address a range of issues that often bring people to therapy. If you’re feeling stuck or conflicted, that is normal. Therapy can be a supportive place to slow down, make sense of mixed feelings, and choose what aligns with what matters most to you.
In our first session, we will begin by exploring your core values. I will also dedicate time to understanding your unique strengths, aspirations, and the resources (both internal and external) that already support you. You can expect to answer a series of questions as part of a comprehensive assessment to help me understand you and what brought you to therapy. Our time concludes with a clear agreement on what we will work on together, ensuring you feel confident in our path forward.
Our work together is a partnership. Our conversations will be between two experts. You have expertise in what has (and has not) worked, and I have expertise in guiding people through difficult decisions and actions. My aim is to create a safe space for you to explore the ambivalence that often comes with change.
I am best positioned to serve men navigating a range of challenges, including relationship concerns, problematic pornography use, anxiety, depression, and substance use. I work well with individuals who may be at different stages of readiness for change, whether they are just beginning to explore their concerns or are actively working toward meaningful growth. My approach is particularly suited for clients who are willing to engage honestly in the therapeutic process and are open to being vulnerable and courageous in our conversations. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly examine their experiences, build self-awareness, and develop practical tools to move toward healthier patterns and more fulfilling lives.

I identify as
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, conversational approach that helps you explore your own reasons for change. Rather than being told what to do, you are supported in identifying what matters most to you and what you would like to be different in your life. This approach recognizes that it’s normal to feel unsure or have mixed feelings about change, and we work together to understand those feelings without judgment. The goal is to help you build motivation and confidence in a way that feels authentic and personally meaningful.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, goal-oriented approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, physical reactions, and behaviors. Through this process, we identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or challenges and work together to develop more helpful ways of thinking and responding. CBT often includes learning specific skills and strategies that you can apply in your daily life, helping you manage emotions more effectively and make changes that support your overall well-being.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based approaches focus on helping you become more aware of the present moment in a non-judgmental way. This can involve learning how to notice your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without immediately reacting to them. Practicing mindfulness can reduce stress, improve emotional balance, and help you feel more grounded. These techniques are often simple and can be incorporated into everyday life to support a greater sense of calm and clarity.
