New to Grow
I utilize various treatment modalities including Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Solutions Focused Therapy. I encourage, guide and walk with my clients on their self-discovery journey to find deeper meaning behind their current emotions and barriers preventing them from leading a fully engaged life. I expect my clients to be engaged and committed to doing the work both in session and outside. I will encourage skills practice and recommend books according to the need.
Our first session will be an intake in which I will review intake forms; both physical and mental clinical history and medications; past therapy history; relationship dynamics and therapy goals.
I am originally from NY and can be straight and to the point; I will call you out on your B.S. and encourage reflection and growth. I am more conversational and coaching in nature and carefully assess when to push clients outside of their comfort zone to promote healing and self improvement.
Working with complex couples, those dealing with major relationship issues like infidelity, infertility, illness, grief, family conflict, parenting issues, or contemplating divorce, are my passion. I take a non-judgmental stance that allows me to focus on the relationship as my client, while not taking sides. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, addiction, trauma, or other mental health conditions, I can help support you, while teaching coping mechanisms to create a health balance in your life. I apply a systemic approach when working with couples, families, and individuals.
