New to Grow
Hello, and welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with six years of experience working with adults as they navigate life's challenges and transitions. I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered. I enjoy working with individuals who are experiencing life changes, whether it's starting a new career, navigating relationship changes, becoming a parent, or simply feeling stuck or uncertain about what's next. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and tailored to your unique needs. I incorporate evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you build practical coping skills, gain insight, and move toward your goals. For clients who request it, I also offer faith-based counseling by thoughtfully integrating spirituality into the therapeutic process. I believe therapy is a partnership, and I look forward to supporting you as you work toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We'll spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, your personal history, your current challenges, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There's no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels right for you. We'll also talk about your goals for therapy and begin developing a plan that reflects your unique needs and strengths. I'll answer any questions you have about the therapy process, and together we'll determine the best approach to help you move forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, supported, and hopeful about the work we'll do together.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to truly listen. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. At the same time, I believe growth often comes from gentle challenge. I thoughtfully push back when needed, helping clients recognize unhelpful patterns, consider new perspectives, and move toward meaningful change while always feeling supported. As both a therapist and a mom of two young children, I understand that life can be demanding and unpredictable. I've also experienced my own life transitions, which have deepened my appreciation for the courage it takes to ask for help and embrace change. I bring warmth, authenticity, and compassion to every session, tailoring my approach to each client's unique needs. My goal is to help you feel empowered, equipped with practical tools, and confident as you navigate whatever season of life you're in.
I work best with individuals who are navigating significant life transitions and looking for support as they adjust to change. Whether you're starting or changing a career, entering or ending a relationship, becoming a new parent, or facing another major life shift, I provide a space where you can process your experiences with compassion and clarity. I enjoy working with adults who feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or stuck—those who are trying to find their direction and make sense of life's challenges. Together, we can build resilience, develop practical coping strategies, and help you move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, or feeling stuck. I work collaboratively with clients to challenge these patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical coping skills they can use in everyday life. My approach to CBT is individualized and goal-oriented. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, I help clients recognize patterns, increase self-awareness, and practice strategies that support lasting change. Sessions often include learning new skills, exploring real-life situations, and identifying small, manageable steps that build confidence and resilience over time. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to navigate life's challenges with greater clarity, flexibility, and self-compassion.
Faith based therapy
For clients who desire it, I offer faith-based counseling as an optional part of the therapeutic process. For many people, faith is an important source of strength, hope, and healing, and I am happy to incorporate spiritual beliefs, Christian principles, Scripture, prayer, or other faith-centered practices into sessions when they align with a client's values and goals. Faith-based counseling is always client-led. You do not have to identify as Christian or practice any religion to work with me. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, beliefs, and faith traditions, and I never assume or impose spiritual perspectives in therapy. My goal is to provide care that honors your unique values and preferences. If faith is an important part of your life and you would like it integrated into our work together, I will thoughtfully incorporate it in a way that supports your healing, personal growth, and overall well-being.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I take a person-centered approach to therapy, believing that each individual is the expert on their own life and experiences. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted. I value building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and genuine connection, creating an environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel empowered to discover their own insights, build on their existing strengths, and move toward the life they want to create. Whether you're navigating a life transition, managing stress, or working through difficult emotions, I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you throughout your journey.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) approach to help clients identify their strengths, build on what is already working, and create practical solutions to the challenges they are facing. Rather than focusing solely on problems or the past, SFBT emphasizes your existing abilities, resources, and successes to help you move toward meaningful and achievable goals. In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to identify small, realistic steps that can lead to positive change. This approach encourages hope, resilience, and confidence by recognizing that even small changes can have a significant impact over time. While we may explore past experiences when they are relevant, the primary focus is on helping you create the future you want and developing strategies that support lasting growth and well-being.
