I am an easy going kind of guy with a sense of humor. I aim to connect with people, not just see them for an hour each week. I have been a therapist and addictions specialist for 12 years and I have no idea what I would do if I was not doing this. Feel free to ask me anything else you would like to know.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is my interview. You have to decide that I am the right fit for you. I am not going to pressure you or make you answer questions you do not feel uncomfortable answering. We talk, you tell me what you would like to focus on and I get a little background. I will ask questions but you answer what you want. I welcome questions from clients also. Ask me about my job, ask why I look funny, ask whatever it is that you need to decide if I am a good fit for you. I hope to make clients feel comfortable with therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I can go with the flow, I am pretty easy going, and I hope I am pretty easy to talk to.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am open to working with anyone who is seeking therapy, but only on an individual basis. I thrive with engaged clients who are willing to explore all aspects of life. Although goals are necessary to establish and work toward, rigidity is not something I do well with. People have day to day concerns that can be equally as important and I am up for going with the flow.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I find a Person-Centered approach to be the most natural for me. I generally find that clients respond well to it also. I offer an approach free from judgment and confrontation. I want clients to feel like therapy benefits them, not like they have to hold their breath to get through another session.
