You deserve to live your life feeling centered, safe, and well. You don't have to meditate for hours every day, become a yogi master, or spend years in therapy to achieve this. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to explore your feelings, identify your strengths, become comfortable with yourself, and find peace. I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than 25 years of professional and/or lived experience with vicarious trauma/secondary traumatic stress, work stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and role changes through life stages. I understand the experience of loving and living with someone who is struggling with mental health and/or addiction concerns. You are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with you. We will work together to get you where you want to be. Let me help you be your best self.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We will use our first session to get to know one another and set initial goals for our work together. You will have the opportunity to ask me any questions while helping me understand your hopes for therapy.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

My practice is person-centered and strengths-based, working with each client to explore their concerns, values, strengths, and areas for growth. Utilizing concepts and tools from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Rapid Resolution Therapy, and psychodynamic theory, I offer my clients new perspectives and practical tools to establish balance, acceptance, and strength. I am trained in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and CE-CERT (Components for Enhancing Career Experience and Reducing Trauma), both of which utilize physiological and cognitive techniques to assist in processing and releasing negative energy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to connect and empathize. I am skilled at listening without interruption and judgment. I gain clarity by reflecting on what I have heard, followed by acceptance and validation. When appropriate, guidance is offered, along with tools for achieving the outcomes desired. I am also very good at “gently challenging” when needed, which allows clients to consider other points of view and gain new perspectives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Women, helping professionals, family members of individuals diagnosed with mental health or substance use concerns.

I was drawn to her many years of experience. She is so funny and relatable. She is easy to talk to, and I look forward to *digging in* to deeper conversations in future sessions.

Very warm. Made me feel comfortable from the start. Didn’t rush me. I think she will be able to help me get over this hurdle.

I really enjoyed speaking with Ann. She made me feel comfortable right away, without any awkwardness. I felt as though she really listened to me and cared about what I was saying. She has a very warm, comforting, caring way about her that makes it evident that she really enjoys what she does. I look forward to meeting with her again.
