Hello! My name is Zoee Byrd and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I am based out of North Carolina and completed my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health through Wake Forest University. I have experience with and enjoy working with teenagers and adults of all ages through life transitions, general stressors, mood regulation, and overall gaining better insight into who they are. I have been striving to help others create their life worth living for the past 3 years.
In our first session together, I will ask a series of questions to help me get to understand you, your background, and the reason you reached out for counseling. We will also start working on a custom-tailored plan for your therapy treatment. This will be a great way for me to get to know you and for you to get to know me and my personality so we can be sure that we will be a good fit.
Having worked with all ages, I have grown to understand more about how each life transition can effect the next. I have the experience with enough walks of life to aid you in finding and understanding the root causes so that we can create a plan to adapt and overcome.
Are you struggling to get out of bed everyday? Do you feel that you lack the motivation to keep yourself going? I would love to help in finding that quality of life you are striving for. I aim to support teenagers and adults on their journey, as they create the life worth living.

I have been utilizing a person-centered approach to help meet clients where they are for the past 3 years. I have found that this approach, along with others, can be helpful in validating clients, as well as helping to find and meet their needs. This approach can help to learn more about what is going on underneath the surface of every day life, in order to understand the needs that are not being met and how to further you along in your healing journey.
I am currently in the process of completing training to be a certified psychodynamic psychotherapist. I am very passionate about the psychodynamic approach in order to help my clients understand themselves in a much deeper capacity.
