Hi there, my name is Kristina Mills-Gregory, and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina and Florida. I have been providing therapy for over 12 years. I have a Masters in Counseling from Campbell University, and a BA in Psychology and Communication Studies from University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Prior to becoming a therapist, I started my career as a school counselor in public schools. I have also worked in community mental health, providing a wide range of services. My passion is helping others achieve their goals, and that is why I take a partnership approach to therapy. We will work together to ensure that you are moving forward in your progress. I use a wide variety of techniques that are specific to the individual, based on your needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focus Technique, and Person Centered. I work to ensure that you feel safe and secure, by providing a space free from judgment.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During the first couple of sessions, we will discuss your mental health history, medical history, and social aspects, as well as what you are currently experiencing. This is the assessment, and helps me get to know you. Once we complete that process, sessions will start to address current symptoms, and dive into history as needed. My approach is laid back, and it will feel more like a conversation. This is part of ensuring that you are as comfortable as possible.

My strengths include being able to empathize, and being easy to relate to. My clients have told me that I really help them to be comfortable.

I've used CBT in my practice for most of my career. It works well with a wide variety of symptoms, utilizing actions and thoughts to assist. It’s helped managed clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you have a better quality of life.
