Chronic pain can feel like an unending alarm that you can’t turn off - something that demands your attention no matter how hard you try to ignore it. I understand that struggle deeply, because I experienced it myself. After years of searching for relief, Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) helped me overcome chronic pain and reclaim my life. Now, I’m passionate about helping others do the same.
PRT helps the brain unlearn pain responses by addressing the neural pathways that keep pain signals active, even after the body has healed. Together, we’ll work to retrain your brain’s response to pain, reduce fear, and restore your confidence in your body. In 15 sessions or less, clients often begin to experience meaningful relief and renewed hope.
Whether your pain is linked to a medical diagnosis or seems unexplainable, there is a path forward. You’ve tried so many things already and it’s time for something that truly focuses on the mind-body connection and lasting change.
In 15 sessions or less, let me offer hope, and a way out. You have been ignored, gaslighted, and drained of your cash over many years of unsuccessful remedies for your pain. Pain Reprocessing Therapy targets learned neural pathways in the brain, and reverses them. If you have a diagnosed or suspected mental health condition, PRT is still effective.

Greetings! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I graduated from San Francisco State University with an M.S. in Counseling Psychology. I have recently been certified by the Cognitive Behavioral Institute to offer ERPT (Exposure Response Prevention Therapy for OCD). I have over 20 years of experience working with a very diverse range of folks (women, men, the LGBTQ community, those living with HIV,People of Color, those dealing with substance issues). I enjoy working with people who are seeking a caring, compassionate, understanding person who listens and offers a hand up while they battle back against depression and anxiety. I also enjoy supporting people who are struggling with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and employ a powerful tool (Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy) that is clinically shown to greatly reduce OCD symptoms.
As a therapist, I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns with honesty and curiosity. I work with individuals navigating challenges such as self-esteem, stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support practical skill-building, emotional regulation, and improved communication. I also incorporate elements of Jungian psychology to help clients develop deeper insight into themselves, their relational patterns, and the meaning behind their experiences.
My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, self-aware, and empowered, while supporting lasting change, healing, and a greater sense of clarity and inner balance.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 18 years of experience providing comprehensive mental health care to adults navigating complex personal, professional, and health-related stressors. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University and bring extensive clinical experience from medical and psychiatric hospital settings.
I specialize in working with women in high-stress careers who are balancing demanding professional roles, family responsibilities, and major life transitions. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, burnout, imposter syndrome, and the emotional impact of chronic stress. I also support individuals coping with chronic illness, including cancer, and those adjusting to the psychological strain of living in a body that requires ongoing care while personal wellbeing is often deprioritized.
My therapeutic approach is grounded, practical, and compassionate. I help clients develop effective coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and navigate identity shifts that often accompany career changes, health challenges, and evolving life roles. Therapy is collaborative and tailored, with an emphasis on building resilience, increasing clarity, and creating sustainable balance rather than quick fixes.
Clients often seek therapy with me when they feel overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns of over-functioning and self-neglect. Together, we work to slow things down, identify what truly matters, and develop strategies that support steadier functioning and values-aligned decision-making. My goal is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can regain a sense of agency, restore emotional stability, and move forward with greater intention and confidence.
I am a Christian and Afro-Caribbean mom and forever learner. Psychology and healing deeply excite me. I dipped my toe into psychiatry for the first time as a high school student and am still furthering my education in clinical psychology today. I know there is a greater capacity for healing available to individuals who have always looked inward, fist-fought generational patterns, and still feel stuck in a world that says they need 15 more tasks completed by yesterday. I work to be a safe resting place for people who have moved from therapist to therapist, searching for someone who will truly see them for who they are rather than who the world has tried to mold them into. I desire to fill the Keturah-sized space in that wellness gap. I enjoy working side-by-side with clients to explore areas of possibility, rest, healing, and growth, and then provide the tools to make these things possible.

These feelings are often when people turn to alcohol, drugs, food, shopping or relationships to try to create those feelings of happiness, contentment and joy. It can work for a short time however the key to moving forward is to understand the reasons we seek out these distractions.
When we strengthen the relationship with ourselves, the outer world becomes much more balanced and fulfilling. Through slowing down and reconnecting with our mind, body and spirit we can feel more confident to face life events with a more stable and hopeful core sense of self.

Hello,
I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that).
At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy.
As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran.
Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.
My dream client is a high-achieving individual seeking support in navigating the complexities of their personal and professional life. I thrive in working with executives and professionals who experience workplace stress, challenges with work-life balance, career transitions, imposter syndrome, and relational struggles. These individuals are driven, ambitious, and often carry a high level of responsibility, yet they may struggle with self-doubt, burnout, or difficulty maintaining fulfilling personal relationships.
I also find great fulfillment in working with early career adults who are entering the workforce, starting their careers, transitioning to living independently, experiencing relationship issues, or making important life decisions. Many of these clients face uncertainty, stress, and difficulty coping with transitions as they establish their personal and professional identity and navigate new responsibilities. I help them build confidence, develop resilience, and cultivate a sense of purpose as they move forward in their careers and personal lives.
My ideal client is motivated for change and open to self-exploration. Whether they are an executive striving for balance or a young professional seeking direction, I provide a tailored, integrative approach to help them develop clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being.
People seek therapy for many different reasons. Maybe it’s the result of a specific incident which impairs our ability to cope, heal and progress, or perhaps the culmination of longstanding habits, that render unfulfilling or even detrimental results. I make every effort to empower clients to evolve beyond their instincts if the results have prevented them from reaching their goals. I approach each client with curiosity in an attempt to shed light on their unique decision making process and to enhance their ability to make more healthful choices.
While this process is often started through difficult and sometimes traumatic circumstances, the best results take place when the therapist you have chosen respects you enough to challenge you to step out of your comfort zone.
Effective therapy is built on safety, partnership, trust, risk-taking and respect. When practiced consistently, the likelihood is increased that these very principles will be applied to your personal relationships in productive and positive ways. I look forward to our work together.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, where I specialized in the Psychology of Trauma. I support individuals of all ages in processing a wide range of issues, including but not limited to, substance use disorder and various patterns of addiction, intimate partner issues, trauma, both current and past involving families and work environments, depression, self-esteem, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.
Life can be overwhelming, especially for women trying to juggle everything and keep it all together. Maybe you're stuck in a cycle of anxiety, battling negative thoughts, carrying the weight of past trauma, or just feeling like you're not measuring up. If that sounds familiar, I want you to know you're not alone and you're not without hope.
Hi there! I’m Claudia Johnson, a licensed therapist who works with women navigating anxiety, trauma, self-esteem struggles, and the highs and lows of motherhood. As a Christian therapist, I believe healing happens when we combine practical tools with the truth of God’s Word.
Greetings! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Clinical Supervisor based in California. I received my Masters from the University of Washington and have been practicing since 2006. In my personal experiences, I am a mother to a biological child and a step child. My early years were impacted by toxic relationships, substance abuse, divorce, parental suicide, blending of families. Setting and enforcing boundaries did not come naturally to me and is something I am continuously working on. In my experience as a therapy client, I have disliked working therapists who are blank slates. Therapy is a relational experience and I bring my wisdom and personal experiences into the therapeutic process when appropriate. I help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and avoidant and self-destructive behaviors become the best versions of themselves.
I welcome individuals who are interested in taking the first step towards positive change and fulfillment. Whether you are going through a difficult time in your life or dealing with long-standing issues, together we can find solutions.
The process of therapy could be life changing and challenging. The goal of therapy is to help you build on your strengths and to empower you to face life’s challenges with more confidence. Through the course of therapy, you will gain new insights and greater self-awareness to achieve a richer understanding of your life. You will learn strategies that will help you master your thoughts, emotions and behavior in order to achieve personal growth.

I’ve had the honor of working closely with children, families, and individuals healing from various forms of trauma and impacts of mental health from a cultural lens. Along the way, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the many different ways family life can shape us, sometimes in unexpected or challenging ways. I’ve worked in a variety of roles and settings, as a Director, Clinical Supervisor, across government agencies, to private and mental health centers, which has helped me see each person’s story from many angles.
My approach is compassionate yet direct, down-to-earth, and tailored to you. Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, your family, or your relationships, I’m here to walk alongside you with kindness and respect. Together, we’ll create a safe space to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.

Hi there, I am Joanna
Have you ever gone to therapy and found it hard to open up because the sessions appear rigid and impersonal, and maybe you felt judged? In my practice is my goal to lead sessions in a non-judgmental way, with the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. I like to describe my relationship with clients as a relationship among equals. My role in the session is to help you process some of the challenges you are experiencing and offer skills that can help create the change you want to see in your life. My theoretical orientation is dialectical behavioral therapy and I try to hold the balance between acceptance and change, this means accepting that although things might be difficult at this moment we can learn new behaviors so life can be improved. My goal is to help clients increase their overall satisfaction in life and relationships. I am also trained in trauma work to help clients process traumatic experiences.

Hi! My name is Alexis Kuney and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Southern California. Therapy and meeting a new therapist for the first time can be a little scary, but you've taken the first step, which is great! If you’ve never gone to therapy, or if it’s been a while, it’s time to move forward and rediscover the best version of yourself, and I'm here to help you do that. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, interpersonal/relationship issues, adult ADHD, and survivors of domestic violence. I also work with parents in high-conflict custody disputes to help them navigate the complexities of family court.
I have a personal knowledge of what it means to struggle, and I find satisfaction in helping people solve their problems in meaningful and adaptive ways. In these unsettled times, a therapeutic support system can be beneficial to all of us. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and hopeless coping with life’s challenges, it’s helpful to have someone calm, supportive, and empathetic to listen and provide guidance. Given that everyone is unique, and our lives are complex, I tailor my approach to you and your needs. My goal is to provide an environment that is safe and supportive so that we can work collaboratively to help you reach your goals.
