Hi! I’m Heidi! I know how hard it is to spill your guts to a stranger, and I don’t take that lightly. Feeling safe and comfortable is the most important part of therapy, and I strive to create a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. You don’t have to do this alone—I’m here to help. I take a down-to-earth, real-world approach to therapy because I’ve survived my own struggles, and I know what it’s like to fight for healing. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies with holistic and mindfulness-based techniques to address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, or relationship challenges, I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore your emotions and create lasting change. I have worked in inpatient facilities specializing in substance abuse, mental health, and trauma, providing intensive support to individuals in crisis. In my private practice, I have worked with both survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence, as well as high-profile individuals in Hollywood who require a high level of discretion and specialized care. My experience in these settings has deepened my understanding of complex trauma, addiction, and the unique stressors that come with high-pressure environments.
In our first session, I’ll provide a warm, nonjudgmental space for you to begin sharing your story. We’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, your current struggles, and any goals you have for our work together. I’ll ask questions to get a deeper understanding of your emotional, relational, and physical wellbeing, while also giving you space to guide the conversation at your own pace. You can expect a collaborative, gentle start where we begin building trust and creating a plan that feels aligned with your needs. My goal is to make you feel heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
I blend traditional talk therapy with holistic and body-based practices to support healing at the root. I don’t just treat symptoms—I work with the whole person, honoring the mind-body connection, past experiences, and present challenges. My work is grounded in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness, often incorporating somatic awareness, lifestyle insights, and nervous system regulation. Clients often tell me they feel deeply seen and supported in our work, and many experience a shift from simply coping to truly healing and thriving.
Whether you’re navigating life transitions, burnout, or patterns that no longer serve you, I’m here to walk beside you in your healing journey.
Understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, behaviors and identifying patterns is essential to developing changes and improving one’s mental health. Through CBT, one can heal from negative core beliefs and distorted thoughts contributing to depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem.
DBT has been helpful in developing self-compassion and management of one’s emotions. DBT is helpful in processing, understanding, accepting, and learning tools to improve functioning.
More than any intervention, tool, skill, or theory applied, a safe therapeutic alliance is essential to healing. Feeling emotionally safe, in a compassionate, nonjudgmental space is the foundation of trauma therapy. I strive to assist clients in gaining sense of agency over their lives, body awareness, safety, balance, and developing healthy coping skills.
Through providing a safe, nonjudgmental space, I support the client in communicating open, true feelings, identifying maladaptive coping, and analyzing childhood experiences.
