I have been working in the area of mental wellness for over 25 years developing programs, creating partnerships, and working directly with clients. I have a passion for supporting clients to feel better and reach their goals. I work with clients to understand the states of their own nervous systems and work with skills to find more peace and balance in their bodies. I believe that a body, spirit, mind approach is the direction of healing and becoming our best. Our body holds so much wisdom for healing and wellbeing. Our spirits help us connect with the best parts of ourselves that can help us move from dark places to letting the light shine from within. We can learn to change the messages in our minds that are more reflective of who we are as a whole being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first few sessions we will get to know one another and understand where you have been and where you want to go in your healing journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a strong ability to connect deeply with my clients and help them to feel seen and heard. I believe that we all have the answers inside of us. My role is to help you connect with those answers by removing the barriers and supporting you along the way.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I connect really well with creatives. They may work in a creative field or simply use the arts as a resource for themselves. I work well with people whom life has brought some challenges: it may be from childhood experiences, a traumatic event in adulthood, or an accumulation of stress. The clients that work best with me want to tap into their resilience within - their creativity. The best of you that you know exists and can come through if you can work past what is holding you back.

My treatment methods

Somatic

I use a model called the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) as well as Polyvagal Theory. We work together to understand the states of your nervous system and how to help you build awareness and skills.

EMDR

I am a trained EMDR practitioner. It is one option that I offer in a menu of services to help people process their traumatic experiences.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I have training in Somatic IFS and incorporate parts work into my treatment when appropriate. My clients really seem to appreciate understanding themselves in this context and how they can support their own system.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that unconditional positive regard is the key to building a strong therapeutic relationship where we can work together in a trusting environment.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Some clients have specific goals that they would like to accomplish. Together we work to identify times in their lives where they were successful and how they can build upon strategies that have worked for them before in their lives.
