(she/her)
Welcome! I'm Khusbu. I want to take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask you some questions about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any past experiences—both in life and with therapy—that feel important to share. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a feel for my approach and how I work. You don’t need to prepare anything in particular, and there’s no pressure to share everything right away. We’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer sense of how we might work together and what next steps feel right for you.
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is a deep commitment to creating a space where you feel completely heard and valued, no matter where you are on your journey. I blend empathy with practical strategies, guiding you through challenges while honoring your unique experience. I draw on a variety of therapeutic methods tailored to your needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed care. I take a collaborative approach—you're not just a passive participant in therapy; you're an active partner in the process. This means I work with you to set goals that matter to you and tailor our sessions to address what’s most pressing in your life. I strive to create a balance between being supportive and challenging, encouraging growth without overwhelming you.
I work best with individuals who are motivated for change, even if they’re feeling uncertain or overwhelmed. My ideal clients are often navigating life transitions, managing anxiety, healing from past trauma, or seeking deeper self-understanding. They may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them and are looking for compassionate, nonjudgmental support to move forward. Whether you're exploring your identity, building healthier relationships, or striving for emotional balance, I provide a space where you can be fully seen and heard. Many of my clients are ready to do meaningful inner work and are open to collaboration, curiosity, and self-growth in the therapeutic process.
