Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I received my master's degree in Marriage in Family Therapy from USC (University of Southern California). I help adults navigate conflicts that may arise from cultural differences, such as generational gaps, cultural identity, family/relationship issues, and cultural/societal pressures by helping you utilize your values and goals to reconcile dilemmas and maintaining healthy relationships with yourself and others. I also help adults experiencing depression and anxiety by helping you challenge unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, behaviors as well as develop and utilize tools to reduce anxiety, depression, and stress that impact your day to day life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with introductions, briefly review important aspects of therapy including some key parts of informed consent, then get right into the specific challenges you are facing and your therapeutic goals. This will help us collaboratively create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through on follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I am non-judgmental and have a commitment to create an alliance with my clients to help them reach their goals. I understand that therapy is the very little time in a week you have that is unapologetically YOUR time and as a therapist, I am present and will partner with you to help you achieve your goals in therapy and navigate challenging situations. In my 7 years of experience working with different populations, I have developed a deep understanding and appreciate the impact culture has on individuals and families. I have also developed skills and methods to help clients identify challenges or mental health symptoms they are facing, how it's impacting them, and working together to create a plan that results in measurable change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults who are excited to improve their insight/circumstances/lives but may not have the tools or the awareness at the forefront to make the transition from goals to reality. Often times, external and internal stressors, anxiety, and unhelpful thinking patterns become a barrier.
