Greetings! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I graduated from San Francisco State University with an M.S. in Counseling Psychology. I am certified by the Cognitive Behavioral Institute to offer ERPT (Exposure Response Prevention Therapy for OCD). I have over 25 years of experience working with a very diverse range of folks (women, men, the LGBTQ community, those living with HIV,People of Color, those dealing with substance use issues). I enjoy working with people who are seeking a caring, compassionate, understanding person who listens and offers a hand up while they battle back against depression and anxiety. I also enjoy supporting people who are struggling with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and employ a powerful tool (Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy) that is clinically shown to greatly reduce OCD symptoms.

I'm Danielle Nunes, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I see individual adults throughout the state by telehealth.
You lead people, make decisions, and carry responsibility for outcomes that affect other people's livelihoods. That does not stay containedinside the workday. My clients are founders, executives, business owners, physicians, attorneys, and managers who are successful by every outward measure and are carrying more than the people around
them realize. They come to me when a hard quarter starts to feel likea verdict on them, when an employee problem sits with them at dinner,or when they know exactly what conversation needs to happen and keep
putting it off.
I have been licensed since 2017 and have worked in behavioral health for more than a decade. I also spent years leading inside large organizations, responsible for teams, budgets, and outcomes. You will not have to explain why you cannot stop thinking about work.
I am a psychodynamically oriented therapist who integrates attachment-based, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in understanding themselves more deeply and creating meaningful change. I am, also, always working on and open to learning new therapies to best help my clients!
My work is grounded in the belief that many emotional struggles—such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties—are connected to early relational experiences and the patterns we develop to cope, protect ourselves, and connect with others. In therapy, I help clients explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, while also building practical tools to manage distress in the present.
I offer a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, reflect, and make sense of your emotional world. I also pay close attention to what unfolds in the therapeutic relationship, as it can provide important insight and opportunities for healing and growth.
Depending on your needs, our work may include exploring past experiences, identifying emotional and relational patterns, strengthening awareness of thoughts and feelings, and learning skills to support regulation and coping. My goal is to help you develop greater clarity, emotional balance, and more secure and fulfilling relationships—with yourself and others.
Therapy with me is a space for both insight and change. Together, we work toward helping you feel more grounded, connected, and able to move through life with greater confidence and ease.
This is YOUR JOURNEY and YOU DESERVE specialized support …Are you having trouble functioning in your environment while experiencing unproductive thoughts/feelings/actions? Are your emotions working against you; controlling you, keeping you from experiencing the relationships and the life that you want for yourself? Are you trapped inside your mental health diagnosis? So many mental health challenges are rooted in past events and in fears of the future. How would you feel if past events didn't have a hold on your thoughts/feelings/actions in a negative way? How would it feel to be in charge of your responses to thoughts and feelings?
I work with folks experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges. My approach to therapy is individualized to you, as I utilize interventions from multiple theoretical orientations to fit your desired outcomes. I provide an emotionally safe space for sharing your truth. Let me sit beside you as you journey to yourself.
I graduated from CSU, Sacramento with my Master of Social Work and from UC, Davis with my Bachelor's in Psychology.

Hi everyone! I'm Sarah.
I'm a therapist with 11 years of experience, two master's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley. I specialize in helping people navigate some of life's most frustrating, isolating, and difficult-to-talk-about experiences.
*Chronic illness and health challenges:* Living with a chronic health condition can be exhausting in ways other people don't always understand. Between the limitations, uncertainty, endless appointments, and having to advocate for yourself when you barely have the energy, it's easy to feel like your body has betrayed you. I help people work through the grief, anger, anxiety, and identity changes that can come with chronic illness, especially when answers are hard to find.
*Infertility and fertility struggles:* There is a particular kind of heartbreak that comes with wanting your body to do something you've been told it should be able to do, only to find that it isn't happening. The appointments, waiting, disappointment, and pressure from society can feel incredibly unfair and lonely. I offer a space where you can be angry, sad, hopeful, exhausted, or all of those things at once, without anyone telling you to "just relax" or "stay positive."
*Sexual concerns and performance anxiety:* Sex can become a source of anxiety and frustration when things that used to come naturally suddenly don't. Whether you're dealing with performance concerns, changes in desire, or difficulty feeling confident and comfortable with intimacy, we can work on it.
*Relationships:* I also work with individuals navigating relationship challenges, whether they're in monogamous, polyamorous, open, or other relationship structures. Relationships can be complicated, and I enjoy helping people better understand their needs and communicate more effectively.
**Please note:** I don't offer couples counseling. My practice is LGBTQ+ and kink-affirming.
