(she/her)
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with 25 years of clinical background. I have worked with clients in navigating crisis, addiction, isolation, anxiety, life transitions, and unresolved conflict. I provide safety, hope, understanding, and a way forward when dealing with clients' challenges to help them build resilience and move toward meaningful change. I advocate a philosophy of acceptance, compassion, empathy, and a respectful, non-judgmental style with all my clients. Through open and honest conversations my clients gain insight into their thoughts patterns, emotions, and past experiences to cultivate deeper insight and self-awareness. To experience, and be with another human being through the process of struggle, change, and healing is the greatest reward for me as a therapist.
It takes a lot of courage and determination to make the first step toward getting into therapy. In the first session, I focus on gathering information about your reason for seeking therapy, your current challenges and goals, as well as answering any questions you might have. Together we will begin to bridge the gap between where you are now, and the most authentic empowered version of yourself.
I bring a compassionate, holistic, and non-judgmental approach to therapy and use proven techniques to work on mutually agreed-upon objectives. I foster a trusting and strong therapeutic alliance through empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard for each client.
I support clients in navigating crisis, addiction, isolation, anxiety, life transitions, and unresolved conflict by providing a judgment-free space where they can openly share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This supportive environment helps my clients feel validated, empowering them to explore difficult emotions. My approach is integrative and holistic helping clients build resilience, strengthen insight, and move toward meaningful change.

Our 1st session was a success. Anita made me feel safe and heard. She listened to my problems, asked questions and we talked about finding solutions together. I look forward to my next session with her.

After my short time working with Anita I appreciate the space she creates for me to share a stream of different thoughts in our sessions. She actively listens and tailors her guidance and advice to my situation in a direct but professional manner.
