Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, CA. I received my Masters in Social Work from Columbia University and have been practicing for over 14 years, both as a therapist and in community mental health settings. I help adults who are feeling stuck with depression, relationship issues, and challenging childhood issues become the best versions of themselves. I help clients come to terms with their past, heal, grow, and move forward.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. We will explore what goals you are hoping to achieve in attending therapy. This will help me create a individualized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I am an active, engaging therapist with a supportive and collaborative approach.
I assist clients with identifying how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected and guide them on how to reframe negative thinking in order to promote healthier behaviors, decrease depression and anxiety, and improve overall sense of self.
I assist clients with anxiety, phobias, or OCD utilizing exposure and response prevention in connection with cognitive therapy in order to become desensitized to their fears and reduce avoidance behaviors.
For clients experiencing ongoing relationship challenges, trauma, long-term derpression, or personality issues, I assist clients in identifying how their earlier life experiences are impacting their current life functioning. I assist them in identifying and processing any unresolved experiences to promote greater self awareness and healthier life style.
I practice trauma-informed care with clients by building trust, respecting their boundaries, considering their cultural background, empowering clients and encouraging them to make decisions about their care, and focusing on client strengths. Overall, I aim to focus on their recovery and understand what experiences they had, rather than what is wrong.
I practice strength-based therapy by focusing on your skills, strengths, resources, and capabilities to promote recovery and resilience.
