Hello and welcome to my page! While I'd like to say that I'm here to solve all of your problems, I am not. My role as a therapist is to provide a safe space for you to express your thoughts/feelings, gain insight and bravery so you can create the life you deserve by mitigating the intrusive thoughts and feeling of overwhelmness.
I use a three-prong approach in session, however it is ultimately up to the client if they desire to go in another direction. With knowledge, one gains insight, understanding and ultimately self-compassion; through mindfulness and psycho-education about life challenges, this can ne achieved. Lastly to process thoughts and feelings is important.
One of my major strengths is my ability to provide a space that is safe, warm and reflective for the clients I serve.
EMDR is effective in helping client become desensitized to trauma related triggers, including flashbacks, nightmares and intrusive thoughts.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is effective with helping clients understand the power of their thoughts and ways they can improve their functioning, make more solid decisions and reduce negative consequences.
