I like working with clients that can prioritize therapy and meet weekly. It provides more effective results. I’m also happy to be someone that is a source of confiding in, but it can sometimes yield best results when practices that relieve symptoms are utilized in between sessions. It’s rewarding to hear when people are feeling better, sleeping better, and having improved relationships which I find comes along more quickly when they make time for weekly therapy and practice in between sessions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will listen prompt areas needing more understanding to assess, provide exercises to relieve depression and anxiety, and identify areas you want to work on further so that in the next few sessions we can collaboratively develop a treatment plan with goals. I can offer ways for you to access your progress with your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strengths as a provider include a real respect for clients and the therapeutic process, as well as the knowledge and skills to help clients cope with trauma, depression, and anxiety.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I’m best positioned to serve many different people, but find that sometimes people may have a preference for a male therapist. I work with a lot of men, transgender, non binary, and female clients of many different ethnicities and backgrounds.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use several different modalities. If clients want to use EMDR I offer it. Other modalities include, but not limited to CBT, DBT, Imago, Gestalt, Client Centered, and ACT.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Can be effective in understanding thought patterns although I like to give clients actions and ways to reduce depression and anxiety. This can be helpful in changing patterns in life, but I also provide tools in between.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Great for tools to reduce depression and anxiety. I utilize box breathing, affirmations, physical movement, polyvagal exercises. I focus more on the body and releasing stress and trauma with DBT.

Imago Relationship Theory

Great for couples really helps them be more aware and compassionate towards each other’s needs and to look at emotionally what is happening.
