First session
In the introductory session, you will have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve. Together, we will explore these goals! I aim to create a warm and welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and participating in your treatment. In the following sessions, we will collaborate to turn these goals into reality for you.
Strengths
My client-centered approach to care allows me to connect with clients on a personal level. Many clients experience significant improvement through a collaborative approach to their care. What makes my approach unique is that I work closely with each client to create care plans tailored to their individual needs and lifestyles.
Ideal clients
I support individuals navigating life transitions and the stress of balancing parenting, school, and work. Clients often feel overwhelmed or stuck and may experience depression, anxiety, mood instability, or insomnia. I provide both psychotherapy and medication management, ensuring medications are used safely and effectively while monitoring response and side effects. I work with clients who are open to growth, focusing on practical coping skills, emotional regulation, and building stability. My approach is collaborative and supportive, creating a space where clients feel heard and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. *************Please note that I am unable to prescribe controlled substances, including stimulants and benzodiazepines.*********
Treatment methods
Psychoeducation
My approach with psychoeducation centers on using it as a foundational therapeutic intervention to increase insight, normalize symptoms, and empower patients to actively participate in their care. I routinely integrate psychoeducation across diagnoses—such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, and personality disorders—by providing clear, developmentally appropriate explanations of symptom patterns, neurobiology, treatment options, and the rationale for pharmacologic interventions.
Motivational Interviewing
My approach with motivational interviewing (MI) in psychopharmacology focuses on supporting patient autonomy while improving engagement, adherence, and shared decision-making around medication treatment.
