Hello!!!! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the great state of Texas but also licensed in Florida. I also hold a doctorate and 15 years of experience. I help adults cope with life stressors. I also help clients find solutions to some of the tough issues that life will take us through.

I have the ability to make clients feel comfortable enough to disclose things that sometimes only travel within self.

I help facilitate and maintain healing.

First session

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and expectations. We will continue with a history of what brings you to me. We will also address some goals you would like to address in therapy. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Strengths

I am an active listener. I listen to understand. That is so important as therapist. I am compassionate and funny. I believe in emotionally healing and self love in addition to incorporating therapeutic interventions. I have the ability to make clients feel comfortable enough to disclose things that sometimes only travel within self. I also provide new perspective in spaces that are welcoming and non judgmental.

Ideal clients

I love working with clients who are open to therapy. I love clients who are willing to do the work to improve their circumstance.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as a way to help clients reframe their thoughts which can create change in behavior patterns.

Strength-Based

I use strength based therapy to empower, help clients rebuild self image, self esteem and motivate to create new successful goals to promote a healthier version of self.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I partner mindfulness based therapy with cognitive behavior therapy to help clients recognize and reassess negative thoughts and replace with thoughts related to reality. I use techniques to help declutter the mind and make room for positive thoughts to enter.

Trauma Informed Care

I have experience creating a safe, supportive environment by understanding the uniqueness of each individual's story. I approach therapy that is mindful and sensitive with special attention to avoid re-traumatization. The goal is for clients to process their experience at their pace, while increasing resilience and growth.

Per usual I have no complaints. I love the fact that she listens to understand and not listen to respond. She gives different types of suggestions on how to go about different situations. She exceeds my expectations every time I am overly happy to call her my therapist. She gives me pointers on how to handle different situations to receive different outcomes in a positive light.

Dr. Lewis' profile drew me to her. After talking with her, I found her to be authentic, a good listener and solution oriented. She inspired me to re-start some goals long passed over. I think our first appointment went well. I hope to visit her again with some of the goals we talked about, accomplished.
