Novlet is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the DFW Metroplex. My experience comes from providing direct mental health and behavioral counseling for teens and adults with a variety of presenting issues, including anxiety, relationship issues, depression, self-esteem, and self-confidence. Novlet currently works with adults (18 and above). Her approach to therapy is grounded in a deep respect for multicultural factors, as much of my client experience involves working with a multicultural client base. Her therapy style includes Christian-based counseling, client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, CBT, MI, and a strength-based approach. Novlet is committed to meeting you where you are and walking alongside you as you navigate the daily challenges of life. Whether you are working towards improved function or insight, she is deeply honored to be part of your story and hopes to collaborate with you to achieve it.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, we will explore what brought you to therapy. Together, we will set clear, specific goals that can help you measure your progress. I often use Christian-based Counseling (when requested), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, and Strength-based Therapy in my practice, but may employ a variety of different treatment types to support you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes me unique is my calling and my commitment to meeting you where you are and walking alongside you as you navigate the daily challenges of life, whether you are working to improve function or seeking insight.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned for adult clients 18 to 64, and elders 65 and above, who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, and grief. Adult clients who struggle with low self-esteem and/or low confidence that may or may not be abuse-related. I am also positioned to serve clients who are struggling in their Christian faith and desire to grow spiritually, from a biblical perspective.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT to guide the client to notice patterns, challenge distorted beliefs, and rehearse new coping skills through exercises, worksheets, or real‑life practice. Over time, clients learn to replace automatic negative thoughts with more balanced, truthful ones, which supports emotional healing and behavior change.

Christian Counseling

I use Christian counseling in sessions, when requested, by integrating biblical truth with evidence‑based therapeutic practices to support emotional, spiritual, and relational healing. Using this approach helps clients explore their struggles through Scripture, prayer, and Christ‑centered reflection while also addressing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in practical, clinically grounded ways. Sessions often invite clients to see themselves through God’s character and promises, connect their experiences to spiritual formation, and practice faith‑aligned coping skills that strengthen hope, identity, and resilience.

Strength-Based

I have used Strengths‑based therapy in sessions to help clients identify the abilities, resources, and inner qualities they already possess, rather than focusing primarily on problems or deficits. I use this approach to guide the client in exploring past successes, personal values, and natural strengths, then use those strengths as tools to address current challenges. Sessions emphasize empowerment, resilience, and possibility, helping clients build confidence and create solutions rooted in what already works well in their lives.
