Hello! Are you feeling stuck and confused? Are you experiencing anxiety about your relationship and/or attachment challenges? I am a licensed clinical social worker. I'm licensed in Florida and Texas. I received my Master's degree from Rutgers University, State college of New Jersey. I have experienced a lot of challenges in the African American community as it relates to trauma, disguised anxiety/depression and manifesting into anger and seclusion. Generational trauma is real. My passion is assisting clients gain self-acceptance, sustain intimate relationships and regain confidence. I have a business background and understand women issues with regard to transitioning into leadership positions. If you require coaching in this area, I am very skilled and experienced.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will discuss the challenges that brought you to therapy so that I can get a clearer picture of what your needs may be and create a plan for treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Positive psychology is a way of practicing gratitude and keeping a positive attitude. Acceptance and commitment therapy is a modality that allows you to accept what has happened to you and commit to "unpacking the bricks from your backpack." The modality is really called Patient-Centered, but I like using client-centered; it's more humanistic. Both means I will meet you where you are in this experience.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My experience with person-centered therapy is focused on individual counseling, allowing the client to unpack their challenges in a safe open minded space.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Sometimes you just need to talk through a challenge. I allow a space to process what you need and ask questions that can get you to address the issue and work on a solution.
