New to Grow
As a board-approved supervisor and Licensed Professional Counselor, I am committed to providing compassionate care that fosters trust, healing, and personal growth. I strive to create a supportive environment where you feel heard and valued throughout the counseling process. My approach is tailored to your needs and is grounded in trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Together, we'll build on your strengths, explore the challenges you're facing, and develop practical tools to help you move toward your goals. Whether you are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or life transitions, I am committed to walking alongside you with empathy, respect, and encouragement as you work toward healing and lasting change.
In the first session, we will discuss what you would like to accomplish in therapy and work together to figure this out. I hope to create a warm environment as you identify goals that are most important to you.
My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the counseling process. My strengths include my calm presence and ability to listen without judgment and gently challenge you as you toward meaningful change.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to begin their healing journey, even if they may be unsure on where to start. They may be feeling overwhelmed by the effects of trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or a significant life transition. This client may often find themselves feeling stuck, carrying emotional burdens, or struggling to move forward despite their best efforts. I enjoy working with people who are open to self-reflection and willing to take steps toward change.
Other specialties
I identify as
Trauma Informed Care
I have incorporated trauma informed care into my practice over the last 7 years. I understand that difficult life experiences can shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others. In our work together, I focus on creating a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where you feel empowered and involved in the therapy process. We'll explore what you've experienced, how experiences have impacted you, and how we can work together to help you heal and move forward.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Another approach that I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps us understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors work together. We'll identify thought patterns, challenge beliefs that keep you feeling stuck, and develop practical strategies that support your goals. My goal is to equip you with skills that foster lasting growth and resilience.
Supportive
I also use supportive therapy which focuses on helping you feel heard as you work through life's challenges. In our sessions, you'll have space to process your thoughts and emotions, gain insight into your experiences, and explore practical strategies for managing stress and overcoming obstacles. I'll meet you where you are, offer compassion, encouragement, and guidance while helping you recognize your strengths and build confidence in your ability to move forward.
EMDR
EMDR is an approach that I use to help you process diffiicult experiences that may still be affecting your life today. Sometimes painful memories can leave us feeling stuck, leading to anxiety, fear, negative beliefs about ourselves, or emotional reactions that seem difficult to control. This approach helps your brain organize and process those experiences so they no longer carry the same emotional weight. You won't be asked to relive every detail of what happened, and we'll spend time building coping skills before beginning any trauma processing. We.'ll work together at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
