I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in practice for 10 years. I like to create a therapeutic environment for you to feel comfortable with letting your guard down in order for us to effectively work through your issues. I am a strong believer in working with you in providing guidance and tools to assist you in coping along the way to your journey towards healing and change.
During your first session you can expect to set the tone for the space that you have bravely created for yourself. I like for your first session to be a sense of exhaling the anxiety in order to then inhale some peace to start off with. I like for you to give me your testimony without the imposition of a plethora of questions. Structure will come but I like for you to have the floor because this is YOUR space not mine.
Working in this field for 10+ years I have developed my craft over time as a Clinician thanks to my Clients. I am a strong believer in our mindsets needing to grow forever, that being said, I have learned from my Clients just as much as they have learned from me. What they have taught me is that it feels good to have a Clinician like myself be there to listen and provide honest insight that helps them look at their situations and experiences in a different way that makes them feel empowered to take the control they've been needing to take (in a healthy and mindful way of course lol) within their lives and recognizing/validating/implementing that change late is better than never.
