I am a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth therapist who believes therapy works best when clients feel genuinely safe, heard, and understood. I strive to create a space where people can show up as they are without feeling judged, rushed, or expected to have everything figured out. My approach is rooted in connection and collaboration. While I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic and nervous-system-informed techniques, and trauma-informed care into my work, I primarily work from a person-centered perspective, meaning I tailor therapy to each individual rather than taking a rigid or one-size-fits-all approach. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who may be navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, stress, or self-esteem struggles. Many of my clients are thoughtful, sensitive, high-functioning people who are used to carrying a lot internally and are looking for both practical support and a deeper understanding of themselves. I believe healing often begins with having a space where you no longer feel like you have to hold everything together alone. My goal is to help clients feel supported while building insight, confidence, emotional resilience, and meaningful change in their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is really an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other and to create a space where you can hopefully feel comfortable, supported, and understood. We will spend time talking about what has been weighing on you, what led you to seek therapy, and what you might hope for moving forward. There is no expectation to have everything organized or know exactly where to begin. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable or even a little intimidating, so I try to approach the first session in a warm, relaxed, and conversational way. We’ll move at a pace that feels manageable for you. Some clients come in ready to talk openly right away, while others need more time to settle in, and both are completely okay. As we talk, I will gently gather information about your experiences, relationships, stressors, and strengths so I can better understand how to support you. Most importantly, the first session is about beginning to build trust and helping you feel like you don’t have to carry everything alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely safe, understood, and comfortable being themselves. While therapy often involves meaningful and sometimes difficult work, I also believe healing does not always have to feel heavy or clinical. One of the most consistent pieces of feedback I receive is that clients are often surprised by how natural, engaging, and even enjoyable therapy can feel. Laughter, humor, and moments of lightness are welcome here too. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I strive to help clients feel supported without judgment while also balancing emotional insight with practical tools for growth and change. I integrate person-centered therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and somatic and nervous-system-informed approaches to support the whole person rather than focusing only on symptoms. I work especially well with thoughtful, sensitive, and high-functioning individuals who may be carrying significant stress, anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion beneath the surface. My goal is to create a therapy experience that feels human, connected, and approachable while helping clients build greater self-understanding, resilience, and confidence in their daily lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adolescents and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, anxious, stuck, or simply carrying more than they let others see. Many of my clients are thoughtful, sensitive, and highly self-aware people who have spent years taking care of others, pushing through stress, or trying to “keep it together,” often while quietly struggling underneath the surface. I especially enjoy working with clients navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, self-esteem struggles, and periods of uncertainty or disconnection from themselves. Some clients come to therapy wanting practical tools to manage stress and emotions more effectively, while others are looking for a deeper understanding of long-standing patterns, relationships, or experiences that continue to affect them today. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be fully human without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. I believe therapy works best when there is genuine trust and connection, and I aim to help clients feel supported while also building insight, resilience, and meaningful change in their daily lives.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My work is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach, which means I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I believe healing happens within the therapeutic relationship, and I work collaboratively with clients while honoring their pace, experiences, and personal strengths. This foundation guides all of the other modalities I use in practice.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

While my work is grounded primarily in a person-centered and relational approach, I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use CBT in a collaborative and flexible way, helping clients identify patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or relational stress while developing practical coping strategies that feel supportive and manageable. Rather than taking a rigid or overly structured approach, I integrate CBT within a warm, empathetic therapeutic relationship tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals.

Somatic

In addition to person-centered and cognitive behavioral approaches, I also incorporate somatic and nervous-system-informed techniques into my work. I help clients develop greater awareness of how stress, anxiety, trauma, and emotions can show up physically within the body. This may include grounding exercises, mindfulness, breathwork, and increased body awareness to support emotional regulation and a stronger sense of safety and connection within themselves. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and trauma-informed, with the goal of helping clients better understand both their emotional and physical responses while building practical tools for daily life.
