I am honored to join our creative energy to build something beautiful. I was born and raised in the mountains of Bolivia in a community where our medicine came from the land and our health insurance was our relationships with those who surround us. I pursued my masters in Social Policy and Practice from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States to focus my study in the field of trauma and resiliency through an academic lense. Post graduate school, I studied under temazcaleros, herbalists, body-based practitioners and continue to be inspired by those who have allowed me the privilege to walk alongside some of the most painful moments of their lives. My life's quest is for the archetypes of peace and joy. I share with you what was gifted to us by Pachamama- an invitation to return home, and remember that you belong.
Our session are an invitation to explore explore the story of your life and how it has been imprinted in our bodies. In session we explore how early childhood relationships and experiences shape the way we see ourselves and others and how we relate with ourselves and the outside world Together, we will bring to awareness thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be hindering your healing process. You will learn new skills and techniques that will help you cultivate the reality you want to live in. Our sessions will give you the maps and techniques that will help you reorient yourself throughout your life so that you are not reliving your past but rather using it as a reference to live in the present moment so that you can direct your life towards the future that you envision.
Treatment methods include but are not limeted to Katonah inspired yoga, mindfulness, Emotional Freedom Technique, nature-based therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-based CBT, Attachment Thrapy, and Internal Famly Systems (IFS) therapy.
I am specialized in working with the body. Our bodies organize themselves to life experiences and when such experiences are traumatic, they remain "stuck" in a feedback loop that has dire consequences for our health, our relationships and our quality of life. The body also has the inner wisdom you need to heal and it is my passion to cultivate the environment so you can access this wisdom.
I match well with clients who are seeking to understand the imprints of trauma on their bodies, particularly early childhood trauma. When untreated, psychological trauma can leave a person feeling dis-organized within themselves, their relationships, and their overall life. I particularly focus on clients who are interested in incorporating mindful movements, nature and food and their relationships in the therapeutic process.
