New to Grow
I'm a licensed clinical social worker who works with women, teens, and children who are used to holding everything together but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, especially in relationships or during life transitions like motherhood and adolescence. I often see clients struggling with emotional reactivity, communication, or feeling disconnected from themselves. In our work together, I help clients understand these patterns and build practical skills to regulate emotions, improve relationships, and feel more grounded, confident, and like themselves again.
The first session with me will focus on building rapport, learning about the client, and their goals. Each therapy session will prioritize your unique needs. Taking the first step can be the hardest, but you don't have to do it alone. If you're ready to begin your journey toward healing and growth, I'd be honored to support you.
Clients often describe me as approachable, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe therapy is not about "fixing" your-it's about walking alongside you as you develop healthier ways of thinking, coping, and connecting. I draw on evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and person centered therapy.
I am best positioned to serve adolescents and women who are navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, and relationship stressors while seeking healthier ways to cope, communicate, and grow. I work especially well with teens who are experiencing friendship difficulties, family conflict, identity development, school stress, and challenges with decision-making. I help adolescents build confidence, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop practical coping skills to better navigate transitions and everyday stressors. My niche is supporting women through major life transitions including marriage, motherhood, divorce, pregnancy, perinatal and postpartum experiences, and changing family dynamics. Many of the clients I work with are seeking support in managing anxiety, overwhelm, emotional regulation, people-pleasing patterns, burnout, and the mental load that often comes with caregiving and motherhood. I work best with clients who are motivated for self-growth, open to reflection, and looking for practical tools they can apply in daily life. My approach focuses on helping clients increase self-awareness, improve communication and boundaries, regulate emotions, strengthen relationships, and build sustainable coping strategies. I also provide parenting coaching and support for mothers who want to navigate parenting with greater confidence, emotional balance, and intentionality.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I use principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding to life stressors. CBT allows clients to build awareness of the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while learning practical coping strategies they can apply in everyday life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to support clients in improving emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT helps clients learn how to navigate intense emotions, strengthen relationships, and create balance between acceptance and change in a compassionate, nonjudgmental way.
