I’m a business owner, a single mom, and a foster and adoptive parent. I understand what it’s like to juggle multiple roles, carry constant responsibility, and still want to show up well for the people who matter most. One thing I say often is “work on yourself first.” It’s one of the few things we actually have control over, but it’s also the thing we tend to put off. We’re busy, we’re juggling everything, and before we know it, we’re stuck in patterns that feel frustrating and hard to break. No judgment here. I get it. I’ve been working with individuals and families as a therapist since 2018, with a background in healthcare prior to that, and I’ve spent my career serving the Fort Worth community I grew up in. I take a solution-focused, strengths-based approach, which means we’ll focus on what’s already working, build on your strengths, and create practical steps that actually move things forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first therapy session is a chance for us to get to know each other and start understanding what brought you in. My style is direct, honest, grounded, and supportive, so you can expect a conversation that feels real — not overly clinical or full of pressure. I’m a “let’s get to it” kind of therapist, which means we’ll spend time identifying what’s weighing on you, what patterns may be keeping you stuck, and what changes you want to see in your life. You can expect a space where you can be honest without judgment, while also being challenged in ways that encourage growth, accountability, and healthier patterns. By the end of the session, we’ll usually begin identifying areas of focus and discuss what support and progress may look like moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is that I keep therapy real, honest, and human. I’m direct and grounded, but I also believe growth happens easier when there’s room for openness, authenticity, and even humor along the way. Life can be heavy, and while we’ll absolutely do the deeper work, I don’t believe every session has to feel stiff or clinical. Sometimes healing looks like hard conversations, and sometimes it looks like finally laughing at the chaos you’ve been carrying by yourself. I create a space where clients can show up fully as themselves — messy thoughts, complicated feelings, awkward moments, sarcasm, tears, and all — without judgment. I’ll support you, challenge you, and help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, but in a way that feels collaborative rather than overwhelming. I’m very much a practical therapist, while still making sure clients feel seen, heard, and comfortable enough to be honest.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve women, parents, families, working professionals, and students who are navigating life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, and changes in family dynamics. I work well with individuals and families who may be balancing multiple responsibilities while trying to maintain emotional wellness, healthy relationships, and stability at home, school, or work. My experience includes supporting clients through transitions such as parenting challenges, blended family adjustments, adoption and foster care dynamics, career stress, academic pressures, relationship concerns, and changes that impact daily functioning and emotional well-being. I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, communication difficulties, low self-esteem, and feelings of overwhelm related to personal or family responsibilities. I am particularly passionate about working with blended families and adoptive families as they navigate attachment, communication, identity, boundaries, and relationship-building within the family system. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to manage challenges and strengthen connections.

My treatment methods

Structural Family Therapy

Rather than concentrating primarily on problems or past difficulties, I help clients explore what is working well, identify achievable goals, and recognize personal strengths and resources that can help them move forward. I utilize techniques such as scaling questions, exception questions, goal-setting, and future-oriented conversations to encourage insight, motivation, and progress.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach to CBT is collaborative, structured, and goal-oriented. I work with clients to identify negative or unhelpful thought patterns, explore how those thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, and develop practical tools to challenge and reframe them. I also incorporate skill-building techniques such as problem-solving, emotional regulation, relaxation strategies, behavioral activation, and coping skills training.
