New to Grow
I’ve been in this line of work for over 14 years and I know it is what I was meant to do. I take a warm, supportive yet direct approach to therapy. You’re hear to really dig in and discover why you are experiencing life the way you are at the moment, so we get right to it. I create an atmosphere of acceptance that helps you to talk about hard things, but equips you with practical tools to “do the hard things” as well. You will get homework assignments that help to push you further toward your therapy goals and increase your confidence.
In our first session, we will focus entirely on getting to know you in a safe, completely judgment-free space. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you feel ready to tell. We will simply talk about what brought you to therapy, look at the specific challenges you are currently facing, and discuss what you hope to achieve. Think of this initial meeting as a collaborative conversation where we map out a realistic plan together, ensuring you leave with a clear idea of how we will work as a team to help you feel better.
I take a non-judgmental approach to therapy. You can talk about anything!
I am best positioned to serve adults who are navigating the unsettling waters of major life changes, relationship challenges, or periods of brief sadness and anxiety. My ideal clients are individuals who might feel temporarily stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, but they come to therapy with a ready mindset and a genuine desire to understand their emotions and regain their footing. They are not looking for a lifetime of therapy; instead, their goals are practical, focused, and forward-looking. They want to learn concrete strategies to manage daily stress, improve how they communicate with the people they love, and build the resilience needed to face life’s transitions with confidence. Together, we work to turn feeling overwhelmed into feeling empowered, focusing on short-term tools that create long-term stability.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Together, we will explore the way you think about situations and learn how it affects how you feel and what you do. We will find the room to change negative thoughts into healthier ones.
Couples Counseling
As your couples therapist, we will work to break negative communication loops, identify relationship patterns and explore collective solutions. Instead of focusing on who is right or wrong, I’ll help you look at how your thoughts about each other trigger your reactions. We’ll learn how to create more harmony in your thinking, resulting in calmer reactions to one another.
Strength-Based
Strength based therapy focuses on highlighting what is going well and what you are already doing in the midst of challenging times. When we are in the storm, sometimes it is hard to see that we are already skilled in getting to safety!
