Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over three years of experience supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through a local nonprofit. In this role, I’ve also worked with individuals facing a wide range of life challenges, including trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, and emotional distress. This experience has given me a strong foundation in understanding how different life experiences can impact emotional well-being. I work with adults and couples who are looking to strengthen their relationships, improve communication, work through conflict, and develop healthier ways to cope with anxiety, depression, and anger. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and down-to-earth space where you feel comfortable showing up as you are and exploring what feels heavy or stuck in your life. Outside of work, I value time with my family. My husband and I spend many weekends traveling to our daughters’ softball tournaments, and life at home stays busy with our dogs, cat, and nine goats. I also enjoy being outdoors and spending time in my garden, even while I’m still learning. I believe healing happens through connection, patience, and small meaningful steps, and I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you along the way.

I trained at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, and my clinical focus since has been the intersection of substance use and mental health — what the field calls co-occurring disorders, and what most of my clients simply call the hardest thing they've ever dealt with. Addiction rarely shows up alone. It travels with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and complicated relationships.

Life doesn't always go the way we expect, and sometimes we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or simply not like ourselves. If you're here, you've already taken one of the hardest steps by reaching out for support. I'm passionate about helping women navigate some of life's biggest transitions. I specialize in working with women experiencing pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety, PMDD, perimenopause, and menopause. These seasons of life can bring significant emotional, physical, and hormonal changes that often leave you wondering, "What's happening to me?" You don't have to figure it out alone. I also work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, stress, and other life transitions. Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to provide a space where you feel comfortable being yourself—without fear of judgment. I want you to feel heard, understood, and supported as we work through life's challenges together. I believe therapy works best when it's a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to listen, offer guidance, and provide evidence-based tools that help you better understand yourself and navigate the obstacles standing in your way. Every person is different, so I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs while helping you build practical skills that you can use long after our sessions end. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, feeling overwhelmed by life's changes, or trying to find your way through a difficult season, you don't have to do it alone. Thank you for considering me to be part of your story. I look forward to supporting you as you work toward feeling more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy is person-centered, thoughtful, and exploratory. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. I tailor my work to each individual, recognizing that everyone’s experiences and needs are different. I take a holistic view of mental health. This means we will look not only at your thoughts and emotions, but also at your environment, relationships, and daily routines. I believe these areas all play an important role in how we feel and function. I also have experience supporting clients who are exploring medication as part of their care. I can help you prepare for conversations with psychiatrists and think through what options might feel right for you. At the same time, I often focus on building skills and making meaningful life changes as a foundation for long-term well-being. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported as we work together toward meaningful change.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 28 years of comprehensive clinical and leadership experience. These experiences gave me the opportunity to work with adults, adolescents, children and families in both individual and group settings. I value and approach each individual therapeutic relationship fully and empathize with the different spectrum of emotions that a Client may experience during the course of treatment. I firmly believe each individual has the ability and strength to overcome their struggles, but that sometimes having additional support in the form of therapy can assist one to better identify and recognize the skills, strategies and strengths they already possess. It takes courage to make the first steps towards a healthier and happier life and I would be honored to assist you in your process. Remember you are only human!

I love to work with people who are willing to think, to consider new ideas, to examine themselves honestly, and to try new behaviors. This is exciting! I love people who allow me the occasional moment of silence so that I can prepare a question that fits their unique personality and situation. I love working with people who are excited about working on things throughout the week and will give me honest feedback as to how effective that idea was for them. And i find it very enjoyable to work with someone who can articulate what they believe their issue is and what they think they need to do to overcome (either by increasing or decreasing a behavior) their problem (even if it takes a few sessions to get there). it's great to work with people who will do their best to give a new idea a shot. All that being said, everyone has their up days and down days. We wouldn't be human if we didn't. Being willing to let me walk alongside of them on those days, as well as the good days, humbles me because of their trust. Therapy can be work, and change doesn't fall into our laps. But it is possible, and in many cases, in order to experience abundant living, very necessary. Finally, I really enjoy working with people who, even as they identify a tendency, a personality trait, a reaction, or a thought process that may be related to childhood or adult trauma or abuse, will also look for ways to overcome its impact on them instead of being content to sit in its shade and let themselves be bested by it.

My name is Anthony and I have worked in the behavioral health field for 30 years. I am very active in the behavioral health field even being acknowledged as a Notable Leader in Behavioral Health in 2023 through Crain's Detroit. While a large portion of my work is spent training and managing a team of behavioral health professionals it is incredibly important to me to continue creating space to partner and directly serve people. This is where you come in, providing counseling is generally the best part of my work. It grounds me with why I am a work in behavioral health, it allows me to practice the skills I have learned over the decades and it creates energy and life satisfaction. You have many options of who to choose as a therapist, know that if you choose me I will be excited to see you and to partner with you. Seeing clients is literally not my job, I genuinely want to be your counselor and I look forward to seeing you.

Hello! I began my social work journey in 2006 and have been working in the mental health field since I obtained my MSW in 2008. As a clinical social worker I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of helping individuals identify and address many mental health concerns and move towards the life they most desire. I am passionate about addressing the stigma around addictions and serious mental illness and I believe the best way to begin any mental health journey of recovery is with compassion and understanding. I work from a cognitive-behavioral perspective and I use a strengths-based orientation of empowerment to foster growth and progress. I feel that we are already our best selves-we just need some help letting go of the survival skills we've taken on to get through the toughest times in our lives. I have spent several years working exclusively with homeless veterans and individuals struggling with addiction, and this has given me additional perspective and insight into the needs of some of our most vulnerable populations. I am an advocate, an accountability partner, an empath and your greatest cheerleader. I'm excited to help you rediscover your best self and to claim the life you deserve.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share my background, as I believe my experience may be of value to you. With 37 years of lived experience alongside family members facing severe mental challenges, I have gained a deep understanding of the unique struggles that individuals and families encounter in these situations. My professional journey in the mental health field spans over 12 years, during which I have worked closely with various communities, including those transitioning from in-patient mental health facilities. My experiences working on local farms have further enriched my perspective and resilience. The mental health field chose me, offering a sense of purpose in navigating my own life challenges. I am passionate about helping individuals find their path towards healing, and I bring experience in both addiction and recovery. My approach to therapy is solution-focused, compassionate, and centered on helping clients build lasting skills. Rather than simply helping someone get through the current crisis, I want to equip them with the tools they need to navigate future challenges with greater confidence and independence. I focus on identifying and addressing the underlying issues that drive recurring patterns, whether that's unresolved childhood trauma, deeply held negative beliefs about oneself, or other core experiences. My goal is to help clients process those experiences, challenge unhelpful cognitions, and develop healthier, more adaptive beliefs about themselves. While it's important to acknowledge and address what's happening in a client's life right now, I believe lasting change comes from understanding and working through the deeper patterns that contribute to those challenges. I strive to balance supporting clients through present-day concerns with helping them create meaningful, long-term change.

My goal is to create a space where you can feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported as you begin to heal and grow. Clients often describe me as empathetic, grounded, and easy to talk to. I’m a husband and dad to three boys (ages 16, 13 and 8), and family is a huge part of my life. We live on a 20-acre homestead where we raise chickens, goats, pigs, and cows, and we spend a lot of time in the garden. Life on the farm keeps me grounded and reminds me daily of the value of patience, hard work, and slowing down to enjoy what really matters. Faith and community are also central for me. I’m actively involved in my church, and I see my work as an extension of that calling to walk alongside others. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial streak. Alongside my therapy work, I am starting a tech start-up, I’ve run an online store, and I even dabble in Bitcoin mining. I enjoy the challenge of building things from the ground up and thinking outside the box. I also read a lot, and my libertarian leanings have been shaped by writers like Murray Rothbard. The conservative/libertarian focus on freedom, personal responsibility and low time preference connects deeply with how I approach life and therapy: we’re at our best when we are free to live with responsibility in society, own our choices, and pursue truth apart from coercion. When it comes to therapy itself, I integrate my faith with practical, proven methods. I use Christian Counseling, CBT, Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and the Gottman Method to help people grow emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. My goal is to give you a space where your values are respected, your faith is honored, and you feel equipped to face life’s challenges with hope and clarity. If you’re looking for a therapist who understands the importance of faith, family, freedom, and practical tools for change, I’d love to walk with you on your journey.

I am a licensed professional counselor with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with experience working on a multitude of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting, and couples counseling. I believe in creating a strong, trusting therapeutic environment where people feel comfortable, motivated, and not judged. I use solution-focused techniques to assist in reaching goals and CBT techniques to help with concerns such as negative thought patterns. Every person is different, and you will have your own individualized therapy and plan that is tailored to your needs. I really enjoy helping others explore their own strengths, and I understand that sometimes it can be hard to put things into perspective. Sometimes that outside, non-judgmental assistance is what someone needs to get back on track or on a better track.

Yes! If you use EAP:Evernorth you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have EAP:Evernorth you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
