I have 37 years of lived experience, living with and coping with family members with severe mental health challenges. I have worked in the field for over 12 years now. I grew up in the country and worked on multiple farms. This field of work chose me and helps me give purpose to my own challenges. I have worked with families and individuals. I gained a lot of experience working with people just released from psychiatric hospitalization and helping them get back on their feet. I also have worked a great deal with addiction and helping people in recovery.

First off I enjoy getting to learn about peoples different ways of life. Being able to take a more curious approach with people who choose to live differently then myself. Having experience Trauma at a very young age has given me the opportunity to help others. I recognize that I do not know what it was like for you, and you have your own unique challenges. I have found that it help me connect with people on a different level, and have a deeper understanding of how these challenges affect our lives. I also have 4 years of experience helping people avoid psychiatric hospitalization. Helping them to improve their quality of life, and manage symptoms.
