New to Grow
Hi, I’m Lauren Hendrix, a mental health therapist dedicated to helping people navigate life’s challenges with compassion and understanding. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and develop tools to support your growth and well-being. My goal is to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, clarity, and a more fulfilling life.
In your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and creating a comfortable, supportive space for you to share what’s been going on in your life. I’ll ask questions about your history, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. Together, we’ll talk about what’s most important to you, set some initial goals, and discuss how we can work collaboratively moving forward. My aim is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clear sense of our next steps.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance between warmth and practical tools—creating a space where you feel truly heard while also leaving each session with strategies you can apply in daily life. I draw from evidence-based methods, tailoring them to fit your personality, goals, and pace, so therapy feels both supportive and effective. Clients often share that they gain not only insight into themselves but also tangible changes in how they think, feel, and respond to challenges, leading to greater confidence, resilience, and clarity in their lives.
I work best with individuals who are ready to explore their inner world and make meaningful changes in their lives, even if they’re feeling uncertain about where to start. I often support clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, or a sense of being “stuck.” Whether your goal is to better understand yourself, manage overwhelming emotions, improve communication, or create healthier patterns, I’m here to provide guidance, tools, and encouragement tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Through the use of client-centered, existential, and cognitive behavioral therapy interventions, I help adults work through and manage various mental health conditions with specialties in women's issues, domestic violence, and relationship issues. My approach to therapy is always geared towards helping the client be the best version of themselves. I most often use cognitive behavioral therapy to assist clients with emotions and behaviors, existential therapy to help clients identify their purpose in life, and client-centered therapy to help clients recognize their potential to be well.
