I’m a Licensed Master of Social Work (MSW) with 12 years of experience in therapy. My journey began with a strong academic foundation, including coursework focused on becoming a school social worker, which has been incredibly valuable in my practice. Although I’m not currently working in a school setting, the knowledge I gained helps me guide and empower parents to advocate for their children within the school system. I have a deep passion for working with children and teens who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, autism, and ADHD. I understand that each child and teen is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs, providing a safe space for them to express themselves and develop the tools to manage their emotions and challenges.

I am an LMSW, soccer coach, and former collegiate athlete. Formerly the Ehrenberg Family Fellow for Athletic Counseling in the University of Michigan Athletic Department. I provided mental health and athletic performance care for up to thirty Division 1 varsity student-athletes. I received my master’s degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 2020. My passion is to help individuals become masters of themselves and to help them accomplish their goals. I work from a social justice lens to be culturally sensitive, utilizing strength-based, solution-focused interventions. I strive to work collaboratively toward clients’ objectives. I have worked with patients on athletic performance, injury support, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, sleep issues, relational stressors, grief/loss, trauma and suicidality. My approach is foundationally a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, and I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I intend to earn my certification in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). The area I am most passionate about is the study of traumatic, toxic-stress, and mind/body symptoms. I have been interested in how trauma extends beyond some of the more historic notions of PTSD and ACEs. I myself was a collegiate athlete and, through many hardships and obstacles, on and away from the field, went through my own mental health journey. After coaching youth soccer for eight years since college, it became apparent to me that we had been neglecting the mental health of athletes and, oftentimes, of youth in general. In turn, my biggest motivation became de-stigmatizing mental health problems, particularly in the world of sport, and being a spokesperson for the value of therapy.

I love to work with people who are willing to think, to consider new ideas, to examine themselves honestly, and to try new behaviors. This is exciting! I love people who allow me the occasional moment of silence so that I can prepare a question that fits their unique personality and situation. I love working with people who are excited about working on things throughout the week and will give me honest feedback as to how effective that idea was for them. And i find it very enjoyable to work with someone who can articulate what they believe their issue is and what they think they need to do to overcome (either by increasing or decreasing a behavior) their problem (even if it takes a few sessions to get there). it's great to work with people who will do their best to give a new idea a shot. All that being said, everyone has their up days and down days. We wouldn't be human if we didn't. Being willing to let me walk alongside of them on those days, as well as the good days, humbles me because of their trust. Therapy can be work, and change doesn't fall into our laps. But it is possible, and in many cases, in order to experience abundant living, very necessary. Finally, I really enjoy working with people who, even as they identify a tendency, a personality trait, a reaction, or a thought process that may be related to childhood or adult trauma or abuse, will also look for ways to overcome its impact on them instead of being content to sit in its shade and let themselves be bested by it.

**Whom the Son Sets Free, is freed Indeed- John 8:36 My name is Danni, and I’m a Christian - Licensed Therapist with degrees in Clinical Social Work and Marriage and Family Counseling. I’ve worked in mental health across a range of settings, but it was my nearly eight years of experience working with aggressive, nonverbal children and clients on the autism spectrum that shaped my passion for understanding behavior as unspoken, unconscious communication. This experience taught me to read beneath the surface and recognize that our behaviors often reflect deeper emotional needs and unresolved wounds. While my roots are in behavioral work, my focus is on helping adults and adolescents explore their inner worlds—especially through inner child work. I believe the inner child is present in all of us, and that healing comes from understanding and nurturing these parts of ourselves. My approach is direct, thorough, and compassionate. I am committed to helping clients get to the root of their distress and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. I offer progressive therapy grounded in psychodynamic trauma processing and inner child work. Together, we’ll go beyond surface symptoms to trace pain to its origins, uncover where coping mechanisms and triggers first formed, and support you in healing and integrating your whole self. This process can be intense and challenging, but I am here to walk with you every step of the way. My goal is to help you move from surviving to truly living.

Whether there has been a significant loss, a life transition, relational conflict, or daily stressors, we all need support during difficult times. Sometimes, however, a trained professional can help navigate these challenges and assist in facilitating positive change. We aren’t always able to recognize the underlying cause of our discomfort or find ways to overcome life’s challenges. In a therapeutic setting, we will work together to discover healthier ways for you to deal with life’s struggles, make desired changes, improve relationships, and find inner healing. Seeking therapy can be viewed as an investment in yourself. Improving mental and emotional health is as important as one’s physical health. My role is to provide a safe space and come alongside you on your journey. I work with adolescents and adults and provide individual, couples, and family counseling services. I treat depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, (PTSD), relationship issues, parenting, behavioral concerns, and many other problems affecting how we feel and operate in the world.

I am a counselor who embodies empathy, compassion, and motivation in guiding my clients toward healing and self-discovery. My training in TEAM CBT, developed by Dr. David Burns, emphasizes the transformative power of confronting negative thoughts to drive positive emotional change. This method, rooted in the principle that 'The Truth Shall Set You Free,' focuses on identifying and challenging cognitive distortions. Additionally, as a Christian Counselor, I seamlessly integrate Christian principles with traditional talk therapy and TEAM CBT, ensuring that these approaches complement rather than conflict. This holistic blend allows for a therapy experience where clients address their mental health challenges and find deeper meaning and alignment with their spiritual beliefs.

I am a licensed clinical social worker committed to having a successful therapeutic relationship with clients. I like to empower and collaboratively work with clients to address their concerns, reach their personal goals and optimal potentials. I've always wanted to help people and I've always been a really social person; therapy allows me to do both and serve clients who may not have sought therapy before. Being a Black woman, I understand that people who look like me are least likely to seek therapy; this is one of the reasons I chose to become a therapist. Greetings! My name is Brian. After years working primarily with individuals who were court-ordered to chat with me, I've just recently started my own practice to spread my wings and talk with folks eager to improve their situations without quite so much external motivation. Some background information about me if you're interested: I attained my Masters in Clinical Social Work degree from Ferris State University and graduated with the highest honors. I've worked in housing and with those experiencing homelessness. I've worked with children in foster care and with the parents trying to get them back into their care. I've worked with teens and older adults and every age between, both individually and in groups. I've helped educate about substance use, adjust from violence and trauma, cope with depression and anxiety, and develop time-management and stress-management skills, among others. I'm proud of what I've accomplished thus far, but what can I say? I want to do more!

Hello, my name is Devin Jones and I’m a licensed clinical social worker specializing in individual psychotherapy. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been carrying anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or questions about identity, trauma, or direction in life. My approach blends structured, evidence-based work like CBT and ERP with a more relational, collaborative style. That means we’ll not only explore patterns and past experiences, but also actively practice new ways of responding in the present. In our sessions, you’ll find a space where you can show up as you are—without needing to filter or perform. Hello! Wishing you wellness. I’m Christina, A Licensed Professional Counselor completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and neuroscience. I have practiced in Maryland, New Jersey, Florida and Michigan for over 20 years. I practice solution-focused therapy that leads to results! I treat young women ages 18-40, utilizing a variety of techniques. I believe in listening, helping and healing but I am most concerned about growth. I believe that clients who remain stagnant in therapy are not getting their needs met. Therapy is a collaboration and a partnership. It is about working together to promote healing and also teaching tools and techniques that will last a lifetime. Long after the therapy session is over, clients continue to live their lives. If ill equipped to handle difficult times, a client can find themselves in the same situation that sent them to therapy initially. This could potentially lead to dependency on therapy or one may find themselves disliking therapy.

My name is Anthony and I have worked in the behavioral health field for 30 years. I am very active in the behavioral health field even being acknowledged as a Notable Leader in Behavioral Health in 2023 through Crain's Detroit. While a large portion of my work is spent training and managing a team of behavioral health professionals it is incredibly important to me to continue creating space to partner and directly serve people. This is where you come in, providing counseling is generally the best part of my work. It grounds me with why I am a work in behavioral health, it allows me to practice the skills I have learned over the decades and it creates energy and life satisfaction. You have many options of who to choose as a therapist, know that if you choose me I will be excited to see you and to partner with you. Seeing clients is literally not my job, I genuinely want to be your counselor and I look forward to seeing you.

I believe in therapy as someone who has done my own clinical work since I was in my mid-twenties. I grew up in NJ and moved to Michigan to attend college and have been here since that time. I spent the first part of my career working in the foster care system with children and adolescents which I really enjoyed. That gave me a great foundation for working with the adult issues of attachment, child developmental stages that were not accomplished and struggles with current relationships. I do a lot of work with people who were raised by narcissistic parents, people who are dealing with cancer diagnosis and those with chronic or life threatening illnesses. I work with people who are addressing childhood trauma, sexual abuse or emotional abuse. I have worked with adoptees who are seeking understanding of themselves and their past. I do a lot of work with individuals transitioning from a divorce situation and all the adjustments that this involves especially in coparenting situations. I find people and their life experiences fascinating and always worth unpacking and investigating to gain a better understanding of the self as a whole being; there is always something new to learn.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), offering therapy in both English and Spanish. I am a parent, partner, and longtime member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community with a strong commitment to inclusion, liberation-based practice, and health equity. My specialties include trauma (including complex and intergenerational trauma), mood-related issues, substance use and recovery, gender-affirming care, sexuality and identity concerns, CNM/polyam partnerships, kink-aware and power-exchange dynamics, and the needs of individuals impacted by systemic oppression, immigration stressors, and marginalized identities. I am experienced in supporting clients with SPMI diagnoses in ways that center dignity, autonomy, and relational connection.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use.
