In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, we will spend time hearing your story, getting to know you, and collecting some history. I will seek to understand, assess, and if applicable, diagnose some issues that are holding you back from being the person you want to be. I will provide a compassionate, safe, non-judgmental space where I will provide unconditional positive regard for you and your situation. We will begin to articulate and formulate some overall goals you want to get out of our work together and I will set you up with your first of many tools and skills that you'll add to your toolbox for present and future success.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is that I have been around long enough to have seen and heard just about everything, while not being so ancient that I'm out of touch with what's happening with our younger generations today. With 27 years in the field, nothing embarrasses, shocks, or surprises me anymore, so rest assured that you can bring your deepest, darkest pain and struggles to the table without fear of judgement.

Christian Counseling
For those clients who wish to incorporate their Christian faith into the counseling process, we can draw on God's promises and truths to enhance hope and healing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Sometimes what we do is based on what we think about something. Learning how to reframe thoughts can impact our feelings and behaviors to produce more successful results.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Learning how to be present in the moment is very effective way to manage anxiety, attention deficit, sleep disruption, and stress management.
Schema Therapy
What you believe affects what you perceive. Our perceptions inform our reality. Negative core beliefs can cause distress in interpersonal relationships.
