About me

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been in the field for 10+ years working as a case manager, substance use counselor, and mental health counselor. I have spent most of my time working with kids and families but a little bit of adult work here and there. I like to pride myself in being flexible, non-judgmental, supportive, and able to adjust my style to what you need the most. I like to build a strong and trusting relationship by working together to overcome the challenges that have led you to the place you are in now and assist you in overcoming the barriers keeping you from feeling like yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, I will work to build the connection and pin point our goals. We will talk about what life was like and what you want it to be like. I will give you the space to get what you need.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am quickly able to make connections and start building that trust at day 1. During our sessions, I won’t be pushy but I will challenge your thinking and start creating space for you to be able to start forging your own path. I will also be right there with you for every step.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with people who recognize something isn’t right and are ready for a change. I enjoy helping people recognizing their needs and finding a path to obtain them. I also enjoy the challenges of working with kids and teens while trying to gain understanding through their eyes. Sometimes, it’s through the hesitancy that the strong connections are form and the biggest change happens.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Everything starts with a thought. I like to help people recognize how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected to help start challenging the problems in our lives.

Motivational Interviewing

Through unconditional positive regard, or fully accepting without judgement, I like to challenge those beliefs keeping us stuck in the negative and unlock a better quality of living.
