I am licensed in Michigan with 4 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, & depression. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, I will try to get to know you, what brings you to therapy and your goals for therapy. I will listen with empathy and support to learn how to best help you achieve your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my greatest strengths include being open minded, empathic, and asking open ended questions so my clients are able to make realizations and conclusions about themselves and their emotions.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young adults who are learning to manage becoming an adult and have some concerns with their mental health such as anxiety, depression, or ADHD. My clients are learning to navigate life and working to gain skills to improve their quality of life. My clients need someone who will listen to them with empathy, teach them new things, and show them other unbiased perspectives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

During my master's program Cognitive Behavioral Therapy was the intervention I was primarily focused on and studied extensively. I use CBT to educate clients on how their feelings impact their thoughts and behaviors. I utilize worksheets and homework to practice new skills that we discuss during session. I use CBT to try and show clients their emotions do not have to control their thoughts and actions through skills such as reframing, distraction, and challenging anxious thoughts.
