Hi, We all have rough patches from time to time and can use an impartial person to help get us back on track, and that is what Rick can do for his clients. Rick is well versed in traversing life's obstacles and assisting in overcoming many different types of challenges. He has 25 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples. Rick specializes in working with borderline personality disorder, substance use disorder, and self-harm clients. His years as a college professor give him a patient and attentive approach to psychosocial therapy. Rick helps clients overcome challenges with different treatment approaches like cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), person-centered, and trauma focused therapies among others. I'm a LMSW, with a CAADC I received my Masters in social work from the University of MIchigan-Ann Arbor and have been practicing for 25 years. I help young adults struggling with career stress and burnout become the best versions of themselves.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
A friendly chat to get to know each other. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Having been worked with people for the past 25 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you to identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.
