I am a seasoned social worker with a background in supporting children and families as a school social worker. In my past role, I worked closely with families, helping them manage, cope, and recover from trauma. Through my experience, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the challenges families face and have guided them in navigating these difficulties with empathy and practical support.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building trust and rapport, which is the foundation of our work together. I’ll ask about your past experiences, your challenges in managing emotions and coping skills, and what brought you to therapy, and I’ll also listen with compassion and without judgment. We will talk about what you're hoping to achieve from our time together and identify any immediate goals you might have. I will explain the structure of sessions, the types of tools or strategies that could be helpful. By the end of our session, you'll have a clear understanding of what to expect moving forward, and we’ll begin developing a plan to move forward in a way that feels safe, empowering, and tailored to your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a clinical provider come from my ability to truly listen with empathy and patience, which has been shaped by my experiences working with children, families, and individuals managing and coping with life stressors. I take pride in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood, allowing them to open up and trust the process. My compassionate nature enables me to meet clients where they are, both emotionally and spiritually, ensuring that my listening skills are at the heart of my approach to therapy.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I understand that life can be challenging and overwhelming especially when you're dealing with emotional struggles or recovering from something as significant as trauma or health challenges or just life. If you're feeling lost or unsure of how to move forward, know that you don't have to do this alone. Together, we can take small steps toward healing by focusing on your strengths, finding practical solutions, and supporting you in the way that feels right for you—whether that's through therapy, faith, or a combination of both. If you're ready to work through this, I'm here to walk alongside you, offering the support and understanding you deserve.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in counseling sessions because it helps clients identify and challenge distorted core thoughts and behaviors, that may impede in developing positive outcomes. CBT is a structured, goal-oriented approach that empowers clients to recognize patterns in their thinking that may contribute to emotional distress or negative behaviors. In each session, we work together to apply CBT techniques, such as thought-stopping, journaling, and reframing, to address the client's specific concerns and goals.

Christian Counseling

I use Christian counseling in sessions because it integrates faith-based principles with therapeutic techniques, helping clients find healing through both spiritual and emotional support. By incorporating scripture, prayer, and biblical values, clients can explore their challenges while strengthening their relationship with God and aligning their actions with their faith. In each session, I provide a safe space for clients to reflect on their spiritual beliefs and use Christian teachings to guide them toward growth, peace, and resilience in facing life's difficulties.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) in sessions because it emphasizes finding practical solutions to current challenges, rather than dwelling on past problems. This approach encourages clients to focus on their strengths, resources, and potential solutions, empowering them to take proactive steps toward their goals. In each session, we explore what is already working well in their life, identify small achievable steps to move forward, and build on those successes to create lasting change and a sense of accomplishment
