New to Grow
I'm Tree, a therapist dedicated to working with professionals in high-stress roles. As a former police officer, I understand the pressure that comes with making split second decisions that can have a life altering impact. I can help you manage the emotional impact of dealing with critical incidents. I offer confidential, tailored strategies that can help reduce burnout, manage anxiety, assist with interpersonal relationships, and keep you functioning at a healthy performance level.
Our first session will be a safe and confidential intake or "getting to know you" session before we dive into more intense emotional conflicts.
My approach distinguishes itself by acknowledging that "keeping it all inside" is no way to exist. I prioritize specialized trauma care and cultural competence to create achievable results for individuals who face cumulative, high stakes stressors.
I specialize in working with adult professionals, veterans, and first responders navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, and critical incident stress. I understand the unique pressures that are created when your job involves chronic stress, trauma, or high stakes pressure. My goal is to offer a non-judgmental space that fosters therapeutic processing of difficult emotions, thoughts, or memories and provides an opportunity for meaningful healing.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Using ACT in therapy sessions, my goal is to focus less on the symptomology of a problem, and more on accepting our lived experiences. When we use this approach, we create an opportunity for a shift in thinking that allows us to be present in that moment, with less stress.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT therapy is a way for us to re-examine any negative thought patterns or behavior that may be creating our feelings of anxiety or depression. This treatment allows us to structure sessions around achieving therapeutic goals.
