I’m a counseling psychologist with over 30 years of experience helping people navigate life’s transitions, challenges, and emotional struggles. I’ve been licensed in New Jersey since 2002 and Tennessee since 2006 and hold PSYPACT credentials, allowing me to provide telepsychology services across most U.S. states. My clinical background spans corrections, hospitals, forensic settings, and outpatient psychotherapy—giving me a broad and practical perspective on human resilience.
In our work together, you can expect a calm, compassionate space where you feel heard, respected, and gently challenged. I don’t offer quick fixes—but I do help clients build insight and lasting skills through collaborative, guided conversations.
My journey back to school began with a period of self reflection where I thought about what I can offer others. As a wife, mother, classroom teacher, performing arts club founder, and day camp director I have worn many hats. Through all of these positions, I always found that my passion lay in connecting with others in creative ways, celebrating them, and helping them grow and find their strengths. Earning my Master's in Counseling and Art Therapy allowed me to focus on helping you achieve your goals and become the healthiest version of yourself possible.
Hi. My name is Christine Toler, Chris, and I earned my Ed.S and LPC- MHSP in the state of Tennessee, New Jersey and Delaware. I have been licensed as a Professional Counselor since 2010, and a School Counselor since 2006.
I started being a believer in therapy when it first helped me over forty years ago, (as a child). I thought what a wonderful way to get to the root of the problem... and get rid of it. Since then, I have been working on myself as a client as well as acquiring a licensure to help others, including teens, adults and families. I focus on solution based and non-judgmental cognitive therapy. I believe understanding a problem is not the end of the work. (unfortunately)
The action we take to support a positive change... is what changes lives. And while I have experienced that in some very important areas... I continue to grow... daily. I choose to be transparent about that because I believe it is important to the work that my clients know I understand how it feels to be in their chair.
If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, doubt, guilt, grief, or all of the above, I believe I can help you.
