New to Grow
Welcome! My name is Alexandra, and I am so glad you have chosen to focus on yourself and your mental health. It can be very scary to begin this process, and my aim is to provide a safe space for you to share any thoughts and feelings you may be experiencing. I work alongside my clients to reduce anxiety, develop coping skills for everyday stressors, and help clients to see their self-worth and inner strengths.
During our first session together, we will take a look at your goals and barriers to reaching these goals. These goals will be short term and long-term goals. During our sessions, we will discuss strategies to reach these goals, as well as actionable steps to make progress.
I am a very compassionate person, who tries to help clients see their own strengths. In looking at client's strengths, I aim to help my clients feel more confident in themselves as they navigate challenges in their daily lives.
Counseling can be very empowering. My goal is to help my clients achieve confidence in themselves to handle any and all situations that may arise on a daily basis. Everyone experiences anxiety in some form or another, especially during life transitions, and it can be very helpful to work with a therapist to navigate anxieties, no matter how big or small they may seem.
I use CBT in sessions to help my clients recognize how some of their core beliefs and thoughts can impact their behaviors. In recognizing these patterns, we are then able to work together to focus on changing some of the beliefs in order to produce different actions which lead to different outcomes. In changing our thoughts and actions, my goal is to help clients reduce anxiety.
I prefer to focus on client's strengths rather than weaknesses in order to help my clients build confidence in their abilities to make decisions and positive behavioral changes to help them reach their goals.
