My name is Chiquita and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I received my BS in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and my MS in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I’ve been working in the counseling field since 2012. I work with all ages especially teens and adults in areas such as anger management, anxiety, low self-esteem, school and peer issues, communication, ADHD and more. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy and person centered therapy to assist clients with better functioning in their everyday lives. I listen to my clients and their needs to gain an understanding of their perspectives and presenting issues. The way I tailor sessions depends on the particular client, issues, and needs. Different clients require different methods. I am open, honest, empathetic and non-judgmental, but also tell it like it is.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the field for the past seventeen years. I have provided therapy to individuals, couples, groups, and families for six years. I work with a wide range of issues, including but not limited to self-esteem, effective communication, depression, anxiety, trauma, marriage counseling, dementia, and Christian counseling. You are the expert on your story and have many strengths to help you overcome challenges.
